A MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD Another half term has flown by. Thank you to those of you
who came to join us for coffee and cake day. It was lovely to
see so many of you and discuss the importance of keeping our
children safe and happy. Sunshine Day is one way we
encourage positive relationships and respect for everyone. I
would like to congratulate both Year 6 and Year 2 for their
excellent attitudes during the SATs exam period. Our children
were positive and resilient during some difficult tests. Enjoy
half term. We look forward to seeing you all back on the 6th
June.

FOOTBALL MATCH
Our A and B teams played Crossgates Primary
on the 17th May and were super. They showed
our skill and determination and beat their B
Team 1-0! Crossgates were particularly
impressed with the control our teams have of
the ball, showing real skill in their footwork.
Well done!
PIRATE PLEA!
Next term, Nursery and Reception will be learning all about
pirates. We would be very grateful if you have any pirate related items,
such as toys or costumes, which are no longer needed and you would
be happy to donate. Any contributions would be gratefully
received. Thank you in advance for your support.
YEAR 1/2 RS
The parents were invited to enjoy a school
lunch with their child which was a wonderful
opportunity to create a shared
experience. Thank you to all the parents
who were able to make it, we thought it was
a great success!
FOOD CHAINS
Year 3/4 have been learning about food
chains and now know that in every food
chain there are producers and consumers. By
linking each animal to what they eat with
string, they tried to represent the transfer of
energy along each chain.
TADPOLES
The Nursery children have been looking after
the tadpoles and watching them grow
everyday. This week the tadpoles are changing
again and there are 2 little froglets in our tank.
They have been enjoying a story called
'Growing Frogs' by Vivienne French. It has been
exciting watching the tadpoles grow and
change and soon we will have tiny frogs.
