Energy efficiency becomes a burning issue considering the on-going climate change and, as a consequence the need to save energy. Insulation is one of the main measures that can be applied to reduce energy losses, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
In the construction industry certain measures have already been introduced a few years ago,such as reduction in permissible energy loss levels through improvements in insulation, andspecifying energy classes. FESI General Assembly
The European Federation of Associations of Insulation Contra-ctors (FESI) was founded in 1970 in France.Today it represents16 countries and over 3,300 companies. Every year the Federation convenes for an annual debate in oneof the representative cities of a member state.This year, Krakowhas been selected to host the FESI Assembly.
The committee debates – which will take place in the International Exhibition and Convention Centre EXPOKrakow – will tackle such issues as thermal andacoustic insulation as well as training and recruit-ment. The common meeting will be devoted to thekey issues and objectives for the FESI in thecoming months.
10th FESI ApprenticeChampionship
The FESI Assembly, 4INSULATION Trade Fair and theHEAT not LOST Conference will be accompanied by the FESIApprentice Championship, endorsed with a registered FESI Federation trademark – which will take place for the first time inPoland this year.
14 young adepts in the art of industrial insulation fitting, who havebeen continually improving their qualifications, will compete in the10th edition of the FESI Apprentice Championship. Thecompetitors have been nominated by European associa-tions belonging to the Federation, including the PolishAssociation of Industrial Insulation Contractors.
The main idea behind the Championships is thepromotion of high standards and quality of workin the industrial insulation sector, software solu-tions and professional training support.
