Russ Ebersoleserved early in his missionary career inevangelism and church planting in the central part of thePhilippines, on the Islands of Panay & Negros. Then, for manyyears served as administrator for ABWE's Far East fields. Inmore recent years, before full retirement in 2012, Russ alongwith his wife, Nancy, were involved in the ministry of

Missionary Care.

Larry Salisbury has been the guest speaker of GitcheGumee Bible Camp many times throughout the course of hisministry. He has served as a veteran missionary for over twen-ty years to the Philippines with Send International.

Dave Warren has served in a variety of capacities inministry. He served as a pastor for 9 years at ChampionBaptist Church. He also served as interim pastor for thirteenyears while teaching at Faith Baptist Bible College and laterat Cedarville University. He and his wife Pat have 4 children,and twelve grandchildren.

Donald DeYoungchairs the Department of Science andMathematics at Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana. Hewrites and speaks on a range of Bible-science topics andbelieves that the details of nature are a powerful testimony tothe Creator’s care for mankind. Don is a graduate of MichiganTech and has spoken at many Gitche Gumee family camps.

He and his wife Sally have three grown daughters and nine grandchildren.

Bob Fischerhas spent most of his life in a teaching min-istry as a pastor, a biblical counselor, in discipleship trainingand in itinerant ministry. He has a great passion to see peo-ple empowered to live their lives in the light of the gospel andthe principles of God’s Word. Bob and his wife Patty (Hart) arecurrently living overseas, where Bob is the Senior Pastor at

the Evangelical Church of Bermuda.

Jerry Goodellis currently a Sr. Associate Pastor at FirstBaptist Church at the Mall in Lakeland, FL where he headsthe Pastoral Care Ministry. He and his wife, Kati, were bothborn in Michigan and have attended, served and preached atGitche Gumee Bible Camp for many, many years.

Scott Fischer is the Great-Grandson of John Radar andthe grandson of Charles Hart. Scott currently lives in UpstateNew York where he has served as the Executive Pastor atTemple Baptist Church for the last 12 years. In addition to hischurch ministry Scott serves as one of the authors for Eciplebooks, a Christian publishing ministry. Scott and his wife

Dr. Manfred Kobertaught theology for 30years at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa.Most recently he was research assistant at RussDoughten Films and Mustard Seed International inDes Moines. Presently he is conducts a BibleSeminar at is Des Moines Church each spring andfall semester for laymen from around Iowa. He isfurther involved in an extensive Bible teaching min-

istry which takes him all across the USA and some foreign countries.He also continues his literature ministry to Eastern European pastorsand laymen and is involved in the publication of solid Christian litera-ture translated from the English into German.

Bob Sheltonhas been in full-time ministry ofevangelism and Bible conferences for over 63 years.He spent many years evangelizing near Taiwan, inVietnam, and many other foreign countries with hiswife Nancy and their three children. Bob’s ministryefforts also included a thriving radio ministry whilepastoring.

Dr. Les Ollila has been a frequent speaker atGitche Gumee Bible Camp and is a sought afterseminar and conference speaker. Les is especiallyburdened for fundamental church, camp, andChristian school leaders nationwide and has servedin many ministerial roles from Northland BaptistBible College President, to pastor, and author.

Gitche Gumee began because of a burdenGod put in the heart of John J. Rader whooriginally founded the camp to minister to theyouth of Upper Michigan's “Copper Country.”In the chilling winter of 1930, John Raderbegan to construct some of the very build-ings that still stand today as a testimony tohis faith and calling and to the exceeding andabundant blessings of God. Though JohnRader's vision was great, through the years,

the ministry of Gitche Gumee has expandedeven beyond his dreams to REACH generationsof young people, adults, and families from allover the world for Christ and to TEACH an ever-changing world the never-changing truths ofthe Word of God.

Today, the dreams of John Rader continue on ina contemporary setting. Campers enjoy a vari-ety of fun activities, a joyous time of praise andworship, spiritual refreshment from the Word ofGod, and physical nourishment from our “worldfamous” dining room! Bill Taylor, Natalie and their children serve withContinental Baptist Missions helping to plant City View BaptistChurch in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. They partner with Kenand Renee Dockery and family and have been sent out by FirstBaptist Church of Cedar Springs, MI.

Larry Fogleand Sallie Fogle have been missionaries withBaptist Mid-Missions for 38 years. They served 20 years inAfrica, then 11 years in the Bible translation division of BMM.Since 2007 Larry travels globally representing the PastoralEnrichment Program (PEP) of BMM – speaking at conferencesand seminars for national pastors and other church leaders,

and teaching module courses in Bible training schools overseas.

Chris Gnanakan serves as the Director of Outreach To AsiaNationals [OTAN] in Winchester, VA. He equips nationals to makedisciple-makers and create church planting movements withinrestricted access countries. His passion is to motivate and mobi-lize the church for missions in an increasingly globalizing context.Chris is married to Dorothy a specialist trainer at Georgetown and

they have two daughters, one in high school and the other at Liberty University.

Nathan Chambersis the Associate Pastor of Discipleship atEast Side Baptist Church in Crawfordsville, IN. He loves workingwith teens, men, and children. He is happily married to Michelleand has five children. Prior to pastoring he served for 10 years atTwin Lakes Camp in Hillsboro, IN as the program director. He cur-rently serves on the board at Twin Lakes Camp and is eager toreturn to speak at his second bike camp.

Mel & Carol Jones —With their summers free as school teachers,Mel and Carol Jones were asked by then director, Charles Hart, to run theyouth programs which they did from 1966-1980. They moved to EagleRiver in 1980, and Mel became the director in the fall of 1981. This will betheir 49th summer working at Gitche Gumee.

Robby & Leslie Fischer —Robby Fischer is the associate campdirector of Gitche Gumee Bible Camp where he, his wife Leslie, and theirdaughter have been serving since February of 2013. Robby graduatedfrom Baptist Bible College with a degree in Bible and Outdoor CampingMinistry. Robby previously worked with Word of Life Fellowship, servingfor over 10 summers in its youth camp ministry.

Pets are not allowed for campers staying in rented cabins.Pets areallowed for campers staying in their own tents or campers in the camp-ground. Pets must be on a leash at all times and proper clean up is expected.

Bill Taylor, Natalie and their children serve withContinental Baptist Missions helping to plant City View BaptistChurch in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. They partner with Kenand Renee Dockery and family and have been sent out by FirstBaptist Church of Cedar Springs, MI.

Larry Fogle and Sallie Fogle have been missionaries withBaptist Mid-Missions for 38 years. They served 20 years inAfrica, then 11 years in the Bible translation division of BMM.Since 2007 Larry travels globally representing the PastoralEnrichment Program (PEP) of BMM – speaking at conferencesand seminars for national pastors and other church leaders,

and teaching module courses in Bible training schools overseas.

Chris Gnanakan serves as the Director of Outreach To AsiaNationals [OTAN] in Winchester, VA. He equips nationals to makedisciple-makers and create church planting movements withinrestricted access countries. His passion is to motivate and mobi-lize the church for missions in an increasingly globalizing context.Chris is married to Dorothy a specialist trainer at Georgetown and

they have two daughters, one in high school and the other at Liberty University.

Nathan Chambers is the Associate Pastor of Discipleship atEast Side Baptist Church in Crawfordsville, IN. He loves workingwith teens, men, and children. He is happily married to Michelleand has five children. Prior to pastoring he served for 10 years atTwin Lakes Camp in Hillsboro, IN as the program director. He cur-rently serves on the board at Twin Lakes Camp and is eager toreturn to speak at his second bike camp.

Mel & Carol Jones — With their summers free as school teachers,Mel and Carol Jones were asked by then director, Charles Hart, to run theyouth programs which they did from 1966-1980. They moved to EagleRiver in 1980, and Mel became the director in the fall of 1981. This will betheir 49th summer working at Gitche Gumee.

Robby & Leslie Fischer — Robby Fischer is the associate campdirector of Gitche Gumee Bible Camp where he, his wife Leslie, and theirdaughter have been serving since February of 2013. Robby graduatedfrom Baptist Bible College with a degree in Bible and Outdoor CampingMinistry. Robby previously worked with Word of Life Fellowship, servingfor over 10 summers in its youth camp ministry.
