Time to sign up for FEAST! (Families Eating And Sharing Together) This month we’ll have pizza and Bingo after the 4:30 p.m. Mass in the social hall. Since it is St. Patrick's Day, families are encouraged to bring

something green (or Irish) - frosted cookies, cupcakes, grapes, apple slices, whatever you like! Please sign up by March 16, so we know how much pizza to order. Sign-up sheets are in the social hall, by the church entrance and in the classroom hallway, or email Mary Sutherland, [email protected], with the number of adults & number & ages of children.

ENCOUNTER AND RISE

We encounter and rise, a teacher in Haiti who knows the importance of forming young people who will give back to the community—and their country. Reflect on

the role teachers have played in bringing you closer to God and your community. How can you support those, worldwide, who are forced to flee their homes to find safety or better opportunities? Visit crsricebowl.org/stories-of-hope/week-4 for more. Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowls are at the church entrances.

“If you want peace, work for justice” Pope Paul VI “Let us work together to find concrete solutions to help the poor, refugees, victims of modern forms of slavery, in order to promote peace” Pope Francis

The death penalty directly concerns the denial of the love for enemies preached by the Gospel. “All Christians and men of good will are thus called today to fight not only for the abolition of the death penalty, whether legal or illegal, and in all its forms, but also in order to improve prison conditions, with respect for the human dignity of the people deprived of their freedom.” Pope Francis (3/20/15)
