Listen to the Word (Colossians 3:12-21) As you hear St. Paul give advice to the people, what words or phrases strike you? What do you like in this reading? What don’t you like? Look into your life Question for children: Why is it important for you to obey your parents or guardians? Question for youth: God chose to be among us in the person of Jesus. How does having a God who knows what it means to be human affect the way you pray or think about God? Question for adults: Whether single, married, or divorced, how does Paul’s advice ring true in your own life? Choose one of his suggestions and share how it touches your life.

Activities for the week Take these activities to further reflect:

• Invite family members to tell what they know about the Holy Family.

• Find a picture of the Holy Family. You can look in your child’s textbook or on the internet. While reflecting on the picture:

• Talk about how the Holy Family showed their love for one another.

• Give examples of how your family is like the Holy Family. • Explain how your own family is holy. • The church teaches that all families are holy. Discuss what

all families have in common that make them holy. • Together, choose one thing your family will do this week to

show your love for each other and live as a holy family.
