Signal light upgradesAll of our signal lamps (70mm & 95mm) come fitted with OEM Land Rover connectors for plug and play installation onto all 1996 and later vehicles, earlier vehicles will require the removal of the connectors.On most model Defenders excluding limited editions such as SVX the front position lights, brake/position and all four indi-cators are 70mm in diameter. The fog and reverse since 2002 have all been 95mm including special editions. Most special editions have 95mm rear lamps with the fog, reverse, brake and position being LED and the rear indicators remaining halogen bulb but becoming 95mm in size.Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) – recent legislation requires all new model cars to have DRLs fitted, as the Defender is an existing platform it is exempt from this requirement. However it is a great safety feature and also a styling enhancement and does not require any new holes or fitment of additional lamps when using our combined DRL & front position lamp.

Lamps can be purchased in any combination, for example 70mm lamps fitted on the front and set of 6 SVX style 95mm lamps on the rear.

Technical & legal information.

The original equipment (OE) lamp is approved for use with a specific incandescent bulb; the replacement of this bulb with an LED bulb inside the OE

housing invalidates the approval and makes the unit illegal for road use.

All LED signal lamps listed in this catalogue carry the correct E approval for road use and are complete replacement units. The 70mm indicators are

approved for use on the front and rear of the vehicle. 95mm LED lamps listed in the catalogue are approved for use on the rear only; for applications

using 95mm lamps at the front please use the contact information on the back page

LED headlights are approved under regulation 112 and as an aftermarket accessory do not require levelling or washing to pass an MOT.

E approval makes the lamps suitable for use anywhere in Europe and any country accepting ECE regulations such as Russia and Japan.

All lamps are correctly approved in both coloured and clear lens versions where applicable.

70mm lamps use the existing fixing holes and fix from the rear using bolts provided.

95mm lamps require the fitment of a supplied adaptor plinth which enables the use of the original 70mm fixing holes.

Fog & Reverse - Where fitted prior to 2002 the Defender uses a rectangular shaped fog & reverse lamp, from 2002 through to the present day a

95mm lamp is used.

Pre 2002 – the use of a 70mm fog & reverse or 95mm will require a small amount of additional work to mount both the fog & reverse.

Post 2002 – 10 lamps set containing 95mm lamps with the optional connectors is a complete plug & play replacement without modification. Using

the 70mm lamps will require a small amount of additional work to mount the fog & reverse.

All indicator kits are supplied with a replacement 3 pin LED flasher relay
