’07The most respected and most recognised 4x4 in the world. Defender is Land Rover’s toughest
and most capable vehicle. It has a remarkable heritage. Ever since its debut in 1948, it has been admired and appreciated
the world over for its unrivalled strength and legendary ability. Since then, over 1.8 million Defenders have been built –
and an estimated 75 per cent of those are still going strong. With an all-new powertrain, distinctive re-profiled bonnet,
new interior, new seats, air conditioning and improved ergonomics, new 2007 Defender is better than ever.

On-road, off-road – performance on demand. Whatever the weather, nothing in its class comes close to new 2007 Defender.
When the going gets tough, Defender’s permanent four-wheel drive and evenly distributed torque will deliver optimum all-weather
performance – both on and off-road. For even more grip and control, it is also available with optional Electronic Traction Control
and ABS. And then there’s the legendary Land Rover command driving position. This affords greater visibility of the way ahead and
the surrounding environment, adding to the driver’s control and security.

T R U EMore power to you. Class-leading torque is produced by Defender’s new 2.4 litre diesel engine, which is also up to 30 per cent quieter
than its predecessor. An intelligent Anti-Stall device allows a lower first gear, and this combines with the increased engine torque to
make towing almost effortless. New 2007 Defender also boasts an all-new six-speed transmission. Specially developed for heavy-duty
applications, it delivers slicker gear changes and improved fuel consumption, while superior gearshift positioning provides greater
comfort, ease-of-use and an even more relaxed drive.

With a strong, rigid chassis specifically designed to handle heavy, awkward loads,
new 2007 Defender can tow more and carry more across more extreme terrain. The inherent strength of the
chassis and a tough, no-nonsense body play a key role in Defender’s renowned versatility, durability and capability.
The box section, ladder frame chassis design is far stronger than those favoured by many of Defender’s
competitors, while the functional simplicity and slab-sided profile of the resilient but lightweight aluminium body
makes this particular 4x4 all the more adaptable.

New 2007 Defender boasts an enhanced interior. An all-new facia
and improved ergonomics have been introduced in one of the biggest interior
changes in the vehicle’s history. The new facia is more resistant to scuffing and to
the effects of extreme climates. Practical shelves have been added to the lower
facia, and there’s a new two-handed passenger grab for support during extreme
off-roading. New forward-facing seats with headrests and three-point seatbelts
offer added comfort for up to six passengers. These versatile seats can also easily
be stowed to accommodate a variety of loads.
