TRAILCOM LIMITED WARRANTS that they will replace or repair without charge, any TROJAN

brand trailer component, manufactured by themselves, which proves to be defective in material or workmanship within a period of

twelve months from date of purchase.

This Warranty covers normal use and does not cover damage which results from alteration, misuse, accident, neglect or improper

installation, operation or maintenance.

TRAILCOM LIMITED’s obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective component. In no event shall

TRAILCOM LIMITED be liable for any consequential, indirect or incidental damage of any kind incurred by reason of the manufacture, sale, or use

of any defective component. Nor will they be responsible for any charges for repairs carried out to be defective components by people other than themselves unless prior authorization has been granted in

writing.

Products sold by TRAILCOM LIMITED under the TROJAN brand name but that are not manufactured themselves are covered by the warranty

given by the manufacturer of such products.

Trailers that are used on the roads in Australia must comply with the applicable Australian Design Rules (ADR). Some of the more common rules are as follows:

NB: This information should be used as a guide only as rules in each state may differ. For more detailed information, contact the relevant Government websites listed below:

BRAKING: Trailers up to 750kg gross mass do not require brakes. Trailers 750 to 2000kg gross mass require brakes on at least one axle. Can be operated by override system. Trailers 2000kg to 4500kg gross mass require brakes on all wheels. Operation to be driver controlled and to include a breakaway system which will automatically apply the trailer brakes should it become detached from the tow vehicle.

SUSPENSION: Trailers may have axles grouped and can be non load sharing if, when in tandem, the axles are no more than 2 metres apart or if three axles are fitted, these are no further than 3.2 metres apart overall and that each axle and its wheels and tyres are rated at 120% of the aggregate trailer mass (ATM).

All Couplings are the snap lock type and suit 50mm tow balls. These Couplings comply with Australian Standard AS4177.3 (1994). The Couplings have a galvanised finish, ball adjusting screw and padlock facility.

These brakes are rated at 1250kg per pair and are available to suit different wheel stud patterns. Suggested operation is by 'Override Coupling'. Size of brake is: 9" x 1 3/4".

Trojan Electric Drum Brakes are suitable for a wide range of trailer applications but are not recommended for use on boat trailers. These brakes are operated by a supply of electric current from the tow vehicle via a controller mounted in the cab of the tow vehicle or on the trailer. This current energises magnets which are attached to the brake shoes and which grip a machined surface on the inside face of the drum. As the wheel rotates, the magnets pull the shoes to the drum. The more current that is supplied, the harder the brakes are applied. braking effort can be adjusted by the controller. Brake size is 10" x 2" and they are rated at 1500kg per pair. A 'Mechanical Park Brake' is fitted as standard.

Each Hub Kit contains: One Drum, One Back Plate Assy, Bearings, Seals, Axle Nut & Washer, and Grease Cap. NB: These Hub Kits are configured Left & Right handed, determined by the choice of 'Backing Plate'. Refer Page 7 for Controller options.

Trojan Disc Brakes have been designed especially for use on trailers of all types and a wide range is available to suit every application.

These brakes feature a 'bolt on Disc Rotor'. The Rotors are available in CAST IRON which are suitable for all applications or in ALLOY BRONZE which are especially suitable for fitment to boat trailers as they do not rust or corrode. It is recommended that Trojan Stainless Steel Brake Calipers and Stainless Braided Hoses are fitted in conjunction with 'Alloy Bronze Rotors' as this gives the ultimate protection against corrosion.

Trojan Disc Brakes are available in 1500kg and 2000kg per pair. Each Hub Kit includes: One Brake Disc, Bearings, Seals, Axle Nut & Washer and Grease Cap.NB: Brake Calipers and Stub Axles are to be ordered separately.

DURATORQUE - QUALITY RUBBER SUSPENSION SYSTEM

*These two-piece suspensions have the outer bracket repositioned to allow direct replacement of earlier model Duratorques (See Page 5 for details). As these suspensions are fitted with the later design of Stub Axles, earlier Hubs may not fit in which case new hubs will be required. Check when ordering.

Duratorque is a superior suspension system that is suitable fforfitment to all types of trailers. Using specially formulattedsynthetic rubber cords as a spring medium, Duratorques are tottallyself contained and are easily fitted to the trailer chassis.

All Duratorque components are either galvanised or electroplated for protection against l d f i icorrosion. Available as Two Piece units, which will fit any chassis width and which are carried in stock, or as one-piece Full Beams which are manufactured to the customers' specifications. Full Beams are also available as Gull Wings for boat trailers allowing the boat to sit lower on the trailer. Capacities for all types range from 350kg to 2000kg for single axle applications and up to 3500kg in tandem.

Hub equipment is to be ordered separately. (Refer Pages 3 to 9 for Hub options)When ordering Full Beams, advise the required hub to face and bracket centre measurements. (Refer to Page 2 for details)

GENERAL INFORMATION:• Carrying Capacity: All Duratorques are fitted with a label showing the capacity, ie. 1000kg. This refers to the maximum all up weight that can be carried on TWO wheels. When mounted in "Tandem", the capacity is to be de-rated by 25%. ie. Two 1500kg suspensions will carry 2250kg in tandem.• Leading or Trailing: It is recommended that all Duratorques are mounted with the arms trailing.• Brakes: When mounted in Tandem with brakes on one axle only, this must be the front axle.• Tyre Spacing in Tandem: It is recommended that the distance between the tyres be kept to a minimum and should not exceed 150mm.• Mudguard Position: When fitting Duratorques in the unloaded position, the distance from the top of the tyre to the mudguard should be a minimum of 150mmDIMENSIONS & SPECIFICATIONS:When ordering Full Beam or Gull Wing axles, you need to advise Hub face to Hub face measurement D, bracket centre measurement E, and for Gull Wings, the required drop measurement F. The standard drop measurement is 100mm. There are limitations on the axle width when in gull wing form, so check when ordering.

Developed for use on all types of trailers fitted with hydraulic brakes, Hydrastar gives smooth controlled braking under all conditions. The actuator, which mounts on the trailer, is activated via a controller which is mounted in the cab of the tow vehicle. Electric current is supplied through the controller to the activator which operates the brakes by way of a hydraulic pump. The controller allows adjustment of the braking effort to suit load and road conditions. Two types of Hydrastars are available and each is complete with a breakaway kit.

These Trojan Jockey Wheels are a premium product and offer many features including a folding handle. All components are galvanised and the mounting brackets are heavy duty. TROJAN 'LED' SUBMERSIBLE LIGHTS

Trojan 'LED' Submersible Lights are a new design concept which overcomes all the leakageproblems common with these types of lights. Unlike all others which rely upon gaskets andseals to prevent the ingress of water, these new Trojan Lights have the lamps and connectionsencased in six layers of special resin.Because this resin totally seals the electrics from moisture and water, no other seals or gaskets are required. The light is designed to allow any water that does enter the light to simply drain out through the drain holes designed into the casing itself.
