2+ Wesleyan FAQWhat is 2+ Wesleyan? 2+ Wesleyan is a grant
package that reduces our tuition to equal or less than attending a
4 year State University as a commuting student*.
Who is eligible for the 2+ Wesleyan program?The 2+ Wesleyan
grant program is open to full time students who transfer into North
Carolina Wesleyan College with an Associates degree from Edgecombe,
Nash, Wake Tech, or Wilson community colleges.
What are the GPA requirements for 2+ Wesleyan transfer
students?To be eligible to receive the 2+ Wesleyan grant package a
transfer student must have at least a 2.0 GPA.
When is the 2+ Wesleyan Grant package awarded?The 2+ Wesleyan
Grant package is awarded in the fall and spring semesters. 2+
Wesleyan students may take summer classes, however the grant is not
applied to your account during the summer.
What are the deadlines for receiving the 2+ Wesleyan grant
package?To qualify for the 2+ Wesleyan grant package, students must
be registered with a full time course load by the start of the A
session in the fall and spring semester.
What other requirements must be met in order to receive the 2+
Wesleyan Grant package?The student must be a North Carolina
resident, the student must complete the FAFSA application, and the
student must complete the North Carolina Legislative Tuition Grant
form.
What other benefits does the 2+ Wesleyan program have for
transferring students?2+ Wesleyan offers guaranteed admissions for
Edgecombe, Nash, Wake, or Wilson community college graduates with a
2.0 GPA or better and 64 hours of transfer credit for all AA, AS,
and many AAS degrees.
What if I enroll full time at the start of a semester, but drop
to part-time status?Then you will lose the entire amount of the
2+Wesleyan Grant. The grant is only available to students enrolled
full-time.
What is the total 2+ Wesleyan Grant award for 2011-2012?Rocky
Mount ASPIRE is $1125 per year. Triangle ASPIRE is $2625 per year
when you take at least 12 hours in the fall and 12 hours in the
spring. When combined with the North Carolina Legislature Tuition
Grant (NCLTG) of $925 per semester, a total grant package of $2975
for Rocky Mount ASPIRE and $4475 for Triangle ASPIRE is available
for eligible students.**
