EINLADUNG Das Fachgebiet “Nachrichtentechnische Systeme“ der Universität Duisburg-Essen veranstaltet zusammen mit der EUSAS, dem VdS, der vfdb, dem NIST und der AWT vom 14. bis 16. September 2004 die "13. Internationale Konferenz über AUTOMATISCHE BRANDENTDECKUNG" (AUBE '04).

Damit wird die Tradition der internationalen Tagungen auf diesem Gebiet in Duisburg fortgesetzt.

Auf den folgenden Seiten finden Sie das Programm und die Hinweise für Anmeldung und Hotelreservierung sowie weitere Informationen über die Tagung. Während der Tagung wird teilweise eine Simultanübersetzung in Deutsch und Englisch bereitgestellt.

Die Tagung umfasst neben dem Vortragsprogramm eine Posterdarstellung und eine Ausstellung begrenzten Umfanges.

INVITATION In September 14.-16. 2004, the Communication Systems Department at the University Duisburg-Essen is promoting and organizing the "13th International Conference on AUTOMATIC FIRE DETECTION" (AUBE '04) in Duisburg, together with EUSAS, VdS, vfdb, NIST and AWT.

In this way, the tradition of international symposia concer-ning this subject is continued.

On the following pages the conference programme as well as the procedures for registration and hotel reservation plus further useful information about the conference is given. During one part the conference simultaneous translation into English and German will be provided.

The main topics on the agenda are: Multiple sensor & multiple criteria (based) fire detection:

Design, technical set-up and testing Toxic gases and gas detection Smoke aerosol characterisation Modelling and computer simulation in fire and security Fire and intrusion detection algorithms: Theory, design

and testing Wireless detection & alarm systems Detection by radiated emission and video-detection Intrusion detector testing Special applications: Detection in cable traces, clean

rooms and aspiration systems Fire detection under special conditions as in tunnels

and aircraft Integrated danger detection, building control systems Electromagnetic compatibility International situation and future aspects concerning

standards, testing methods and certification

The conference includes a poster presentation and will be completed by a limited tabletop exhibition.
