Introduction

COORIGO is a completely new range of controllers which has been designed to beeasy to use and operate. The controllers have a display and built in panels foroperation and alarm on the front and are operated by means of clearly definedbuttons. The controllers have been designed for mounting on a DIN rail, in norm housing oron the front of a cabinet. The required functions are selected with the help of questions in normal script or bymeans of a code under the configuration menu depending on the type ofapplication. The controller has a year-base clock and automatic summer/winter timechangeover. The menu system works with different user-levels to show settings and to allowsettings to be altered. This means that non-technical staff can feel secure whileusing the system since it is impossible, on the lower user-levels, to programmeincorrect settings when checking operating status, parameter values, alarms etc.During normal operation, without pressing any buttons, the display also shows themost important operating statuses such as setpoint/current value, sequence-outputcontrol and time/date/version etc.We hope you will be satisfied with your CORRIGO and that it will provide you withsimpler and more economic running of your control systems.

Installation

CORRIGO can be mounted in standard casing, on a DIN rail in a cabinet or in thefront of a cabinet.

Front mounting kitWhen CORRIGO is to be placed in a cabinet front mounting will be facilitated usingthe front mounting kit FMK1. The kit contains a front frame with see-through lid andan integrated mounting-rail.When placing two CORRIGOs or one CORRIGO and one relay unit RM6..-24/D next toeach other in the front of the cabinet use the FMCR mounting kit. It contains thesame parts as FMC above but they are of different dimensions.

Supply voltageThe controller is to be supplied with 24V AC. Terminal 43, system neutral, isinternally connected to terminal 41, signal neutral for the analogue outputs, andterminals 24, 27, 30 och 33, signal neutral for the analogue inputs.

InputsThe controller has common poles for signal neutral to transmitters (AI 1-8) and acommon pole for digital input signals.

Terminal 22 (common for digital input signals) is not the same as signal neutral fortransmitters ( terminals 24,27,30 and 33) and they must not be interconnected.Signal neutral terminals for transmitters (24,27,30 and 33) are, however, internallyconnected and connected to system neutral on terminal 43.

OutputsThe analogue outputs give 0...10 V DC. Signal neutral on terminal 41 is internallyconnected to system neutral on terminal 43.

Digital outputs are supplied in pairs with 24V AC on the terminals which are markedwith 24V AC in (terminals 6,9 and 12). Each output has an internal triac which gives24V AC. Terminals 6, 9 and 12 are also internally connected.

Service pinOn the LON-models the comissioning service pin is located behind a markedopening on the upper side of the CORRIGO.

AI Analogue inCORRIGO has 8 analogue inputs, AI1...AI8The function of some of the inputs varies depending on the choice of model andconfiguration.PT1000 type temperature sensors must be used on those inputs that areconfigured as temperature inputs. In certain cases an AI-input may be used as a digital input. It must then beconnected to a voltage-free, closing contact. When active input signals are connected they must be 0...10 V DC.AI-inputs must always use the signal neutral of the AI terminal block as reference.(terminals 24, 27, 30 or 33).AI1 and AI2are used for connecting pressure switches/transmitters for monitoring and controlof the supply air and exhaust air fansNote: These signals control vital functions in the CORRIGO. They must always beconnected for correct control function.

C10 and C30Connect the inputs to pressure switches with voltage-free closing contacts, for example DTV, or to voltage-free closing contacts in the fan-motorrelays.

C20 and C40Connect the inputs to pressure transmitters with a 0...10V DC output, forexample DMD or DTL. Wiring, see example in the margin. The transmitter pressure range is set in the menu ”Settings”, see page 42.

AI3 och AI4C10 and C20AI3 Used for exhaust air temperature sensor, for example TG-K3/PT1000.AI4 Used for extract air temperature sensor or for minimum limiting sensor in

the heat exhanger circuit when using a liquid connected heat exchanger.(See page 28).These functions are mutually exclusive, only one of them may be chosen.

C30 and C40AI3 Used for room humidity transmitter, for example HRT.AI4 Used for duct humidity sensor (limiting sensor), for example HDT3200.

The sensors must have an output signal of 0...10 V DC corresponding to0...100% RH.Since neither of the supply voltage terminals is connected to the AI signalneutral it is necessary to make an external connection between the supplyvoltage pole chosen as G0 and the AI signal neutral.Note: If no limiting sensor is connected AI4 must be connected to signalneutral.

AI5...AI8AI5 Outdoor temperature sensor, for example TG-R6/PT1000.AI6 Supply air temperature sensor, for example TG-K3/PT1000.AI7 Room temperature sensor, for example TG-R5/PT1000.AI8 Frost protection sensor, for example TG-A1/PT1000 when the unit is

configures for water heating.Input for high temperature limiting switch when the controller is configuredfor electric heating. Connect to voltage-free closing contact. (See page 27)

DI Digital inputsCORRIGO has 8 digital inputs, DI1...DI8 for activation of certain functions and input ofexternal alarm signals. These inputs may only be wired to voltage-free contacts. These inputs may only refer to the common DI pole on terminal 22.Terminal 22 does not have the same potential as other signal neutrals in theCORRIGO and may not be connected to any other terminals except the DI inputs. Each input can be individually set, either so that closed contact activates thefunction/alarm, or so that open contact activates the function/alarm. See undermenu ”Settings” page 43.

DI1 Input for filter monitor pressure switch(es). If there are several switches these should be wired in parallell.

DI2 Circulation pump indication.Must be wired when CORRIGO is configured for water heating.A stopped pump will force the controller to go into shut down mode.

DI3 Alarm from cooling machine(s).DI4 Rotation sentinel or ice build-up thermostat in plate exchanger.DI5 Fire alarm.DI6 External alarms or external switches not in ”Auto position” (used when

CORRIGO is used with relay module RM6H-24/D or fire damper end positionswitches (for fire damper exercising). Function depends on configurationsettings (see page 30).

DI7 Pushbutton or timer for extended running, single speed fan or high speedwhen using two-speed fans.

DI8 Pushbutton or timer for extended running, low speed when using two-speedfans.Simultaneous closure of both DI7 and DI8 will force the CORRIGO to shutdown. For installations with external switches for fan control, wire according to thefigures below. DI7 and DI8 should then be configured as for timer.See page 31. High speed

AO Analogue outputsDepending on model, CORRIGO has 3...6 analogue outputs, AO1...AO6.Output signal 0...10 V DC, 5 mA. Short-circuit protected. These outputs should refer to terminal 41, signal neutral.Signal neutral G0, terminal 41, in the CORRIGO is internally connected to sytemneutral on terminal 43.It is therefore important that any actuators sharing the CORRIGO supply transformerare wired with their supply neutral connected to the same transformer pole as theCORRIGO terminal 43.AO1...AO3 is present in all models. These outputs comprise the temperature controlsequence. DO Digital outputs

CORRIGO has 7 digital outputs DO1...DO7.DO7, alarm output is a voltage free closing relay contact. 1 A, 24 V AC/DC.The outputs DO1...DO6 are triac controlled, 0.5 A, 24 V AC. Short term 1 A.The triac outputs are paired to common supply terminals for 24 V AC.See figure in the margin. For handling higher voltages or currents, use relay modules RM6-24/D orRM6H-24/D that have been developed for this purpose. Some of the outputs have alternative functions depending on model and con-figuration. For example, this means that, in C10 and C30, DX cooling cannot becombined with control of two-speed fans.

DO1 Start supply-air fan (High speed for 2-speed fan in C10 and C30).DO2 Start exhaust-air fan (High speed for 2-speed fan in C10 and C30).DO3 Control of circulation pump or electric heating interlock.

Must be wired when water heater is used. Stopped pump will force theCORRIGO to shut-down mode.DO3 is normally used for control of the circulation pump. When using electricheating, this is not used. Instead it can often be useful with an output forelectric heating interlock, for example when a step-controller is used tocontrol the heater.Step-controllers often have step-up/step-down time delay functions. This can lead to heating output during the cool-down period or even after thesupply air fan has been shut down which will trip the heater high-limitthermostat.By wiring the heating relays via DO3 the heating output will be shut down assoon as CORRIGO switches from running mode to shutdown mode. When CORRIGO is configured for electric heating DO3 will be active duringnormal running mode and switched off in shut-down mode i.e. even duringthe cool-down period.

DO4 Control of chiller 1 (DX1) orStart supply-air fan, low speed for 2-speed control in C10 and C30.

ConfigurationConfiguration implies the commissioning setting of all the parameters in theCORRIGO. Parameters are set using script.Configuration codesThere is also the option of setting parameters by means of two configuration codes. This function is particularly useful and time-saving when a number of controllers areto be configured in the same way.The first thing to be shown when the configuration menu is opened is the setting ofthe control function.Using the arrow up button the two configuration codes will be displayed and thearrow down button will give the parameters of the other configurations in script. The code digits in the configuration code correspond to the script parameters belowin numerical sequence. This means that the first digit in CONFIG.CODE1determines which control function the controller is to work with. The second digitrefers to heater type etc. Before the corresponding selection in the script parameters there is a digit whichcorresponds to the code number in the configuration code. See the details below.Tables for configuration codeThere is also a special table to facilitate the choice of configuration code. This isalways supplied together with the CORRIGO instruction sheet. In the table all the configuration parameters are shown as well as the selectionsthat can be made. Basic selections are marked in bold type.By going through the parameters and filling in the figures beside the respectiveselections the configuration code can be obtained without difficulty. This can alsoact as a protocol of settings for CORRIGO.Automatic restart after changingWhen one or more parameters have been changed the controller will restart whenthe user leaves the configuration menu.

Supply air control with outdoor temperature compensationThe temperature sensor Supply Air (AI6) controls the sequences to reach setpoint. The setpoint is compensated with respect to the temperature at outdoor tempera-ture sensor (AI5). Parameters are set in the menu ”Temp control” where menus foroutdoor compensation will become accessible when this selection is made.Outdoor temperature compensation can be set with two breaking points and twoend positions, see the section ”Temp control”.

Room temperature control with cascade control of the supply air temperatureThe temperature sensor Supply air (AI6) controls the sequence so that the setpointis reached in the same way as with supply air control. The setpoint for the supplyair temperature is determined by Room sensor (AI7) which, when heating isrequired, raises the setpoint for supply air according to the parameters set or,when cooling is required, lowers the setpoint. The cascade factor (by how much the setpoint should be changed on a one-degreedeviation from the set room-temperature) is set under ”Temp control”, see theappropriate section.N.B. Cascade control is a PI-control with settable I-time (Factory setting 10 minu-tes) and works with setpoints between set minimum and maximum limitation.(Current setpoint for supply air temperature is shown in the menu for cascadefactor).

Heating, heatexchange and cooling are not used during free cooling. When two-speed fans have been configured the fans run at high speed duringfree cooling.Other prerequisites are that the outside temperature exceeds the preset value(basic setting +10°C.) to prevent condensation and that the outside temperatureis a preset number of degrees lower than the room temperature (factory setting3K). If this condition is not met, no cooling run will take place.0. No1. Yes

M. FUNCTION INPUT DI6 OCH OUTPUT DO6These can be changed for various functions.0. External alarm + frost protection.

DI6 receives an external alarm. The alarm is presented in the alarm queueas ”External alarm”. DO6 is controlled to be on as long as the frost protectionis in the normal position. When the frost alarm is activated the output is deactivated. This function isused when external switches for manual operation of the fans is desired.

1. Auto + Frost protectionIn this position DI6 receives a signal that external switches are not in theauto position. It is used primarily when the relay module RM6H-24/D withexternal switches is connected to the controller. If any one of the switches isnot in the Auto position the alarm will be given after 5 minutes.

2. Fire damper exerciseDO6 is used to control fire dampers for exercising and testing.Exercising is carried out once every 24 hours at the time set under”Settings”. The basic setting is for 12 midnight.During the exercising the fans will be stopped even if free cooling is active.

Alarm settings

Here all settings for the alarm system are set including alarm parameters, delays, suppression times etc.1. Temperature deviation alarm

Should the actual temperature differ from the setpoint by more than the setvalue an alarm will be activated after a set time.

2. Outdoor temperature range within which the temperature deviationalarm can be activatedTo prevent alarms when the outdoor temperature leads to conditions beyondthe system capacity.Example: If a system for supply air control does not have cooling an alarmwill be given when the outside temperature exceeds 20 to 25 degrees sincethe temperature cannot be reduced. To avoid a ”false” alarm the uppertemperature limit is set at 20 degrees in this case. The same is true at theother extreme. If the outside temperature should fall below the set tempera-ture a ”false” alarm can be avoided by setting the lowest outside tempera-ture limit to this temperature.N.B. This function is not available unless an outdoor sensor is connected toCORRIGO.

3. Pressure deviation alarm (C20 and C40 only)Should the actual pressure differ from the setpoint by more than the set valuean alarm will be activated after a set time.

4. Alarm suppression Supply air fanA fan pressure deviation alarm is suppressed by a set time to avoid thealarm stopping the fan during start up before the pressure has reached thenormal level.

5. Alarm suppression Exhaust air fanAs for supply air fan above

6. Alarm output suppressionThe alarm output relay can be blocked so that unprioritised alarms will onlybe forwarded during the set time and not during the night or weekends, forexample. Outside the set period only frost alarm, high temperature alarm andfire alarm will activate the alarm relay.Set the times in this menu when alarms are forwarded to the alarm relayoutput.Example: An alarm is only to activate the alarm output between 08.00 and17.00, Monday to Friday. The setting will be as follows:

N.B. Even if the alarm output is blocked the alarm will be registered andindicated by the red flashing alarm diode and the alarm list menus willfunction as normal.
