From the Principal…
Dear Families,
Congratulations and well done to all those children who qualified and participated
in the District Athletics Carnival at the Bill Seward Athletics Track last Friday.
Deepdene was represented by one of the largest teams, comprising 49 participants.
With favourable weather the day was completed with all children participating
enthusiastically and displaying a fantastic Deepdene team spirit. Thanks to Tristan
for his organisation and coaching of the children and thanks to Alexis and Jacob for
their involvement on the day. Thank you also to those parents who came along to
support our team. Well done to all!

expected to run for approximately one hour each. All tickets need to be bought
online - NO tickets will be available at the door. We ask that families limit ticket

Yard Duty Supervision
A reminder to all families that teachers are on yard duty from 8.45am each morning
before school and until 3.45pm each afternoon after school. Children should not be
dropped off or left unsupervised in the school yard before or after these times. We
appreciate your support in this supervision and the safety of our children. Please
reinforce with your child (particularly some of our older children) that under no
circumstances should they arrive at school and then leave the school grounds to
visit the shop. It is also important that children are aware of their attendance at
the Out Of School Hours Care Program. We can pass on messages which have been
phoned through to the office only if absolutely necessary. It is important to remind
some children of their attendance at the program as they leave home each day!
Missing a bomber jacket? Missing a windcheater? Missing a shirt? Missing
underwear?? The lost property box is overflowing with articles of clothing, many of
which are UNNAMED. Large amounts of clothing are collected from the yard after
school each day and placed in the lost property box outside Room 6 (6S). Please
check the box for lost property; make sure all articles of clothing are named; and
ENCOURAGE children to be responsible for their own belongings.

the teachers and students who came dressed up.
The Library will be implementing a new Library System during the last two weeks of term. So there will be no
