At this time Bauer was under the name of H Bauer Publishing and became Britain's third largest publisher. Bauer further expanded in the UK with the purchase of Emap Consumer Media and Emap Radio in 2008. Bauer Media ‘Mojo’MOJO is the world’s largest UK music magazine, delivering world class journalism and iconic photography to an audience of extremely passionate music consumers, monthly. Mojo only features important music stars that will get them the attention.

Mojo began in Britain in 1993. The cover story was an account of the complex relationship between Bob Dylan and John Lennon. Ever since it has included stories of all time greats and recommended new music with high quality for the classics of now and tomorrow. The founding editor Paul Du Noyer, said “that had the sensibilities of a fanzine and the design values of Vogue.” Its title was chosen as a homage to Delta blues mythology and as a reminder of the magic at the core of music. kerrang! first published on 6 June 1981 and was edited by Geoff Barton who initially was a supplement of the sounds news paper, which focused on British heavy metal and the rise of other rock acts. Angus Young from AC/DC appeared on the first ever cover of Kerrang!. It was a monthly magazine but began to appear on a fortnightly basis and in 19987 I went weekly. The original owner was united newspaper who then sold it on 1991.

UK ‘NME’The paper's first issue was published on 7 March 1952 after the "Accordion Times and Musical Express" (from 4 October 1946) was bought by London music promoter Maurice Kinn, just 15 minutes before it was due to be officially closed. It was re-launched as the New Musical Express. It was initially published in a non-glossy tabloid format on standard newsprint. On the 14th of November 1952, taking its cue from the US magazine billboard, it created a UK singles chart list of the top 12 best selling singles.

NME was created by Theodore Ingham who is a British weekly music journalism and published it first in 1952. it is largely associated with rock, alternative and indie music. It started as a music newspaper, and gradually moved toward a magazine format during the 1980’s and 90’s and completely changed its print in 1998. It was first a British paper. In the 1070’s it became the best selling-selling British music newspaper. An online version of NME, NME.com, was launched in 1996. It is now the world's biggest standalone music site, with over 7 million users per month. As of 16 August 2012.

Immediate Media Company Immediate Media Company Limited is a combined publishing house containing the former assets of Origin Publishing, Magicalia and BBC Magazines. It was formed on 1 November 2011 and is owned by Exponent Private Equity. It publishes over 50 magazine titles and over 30 websites, and it employs 750 staff in its offices in Hammersmith, London and in Bristol. Its CEO is Tom Bureau who has a background digital media as well as traditional publishing.
