• Easily see tweets from a specific group of accounts that you’ve tagged together; without having to scan your entire feed

• Spending the initial time to organize the accounts you follow saves you loads of time in the long run

• Constraints include a maximum of 20 lists total and 500 accounts per list

The first step to taking advantage of Lists is to get all of the accounts you follow categorized

1. Click on your Twitter profile, then your list of who you’re following

2. Click on the icon next to the account that you are following and in the drop down list click “Add or remove from lists…”

3. From there choose what list you want an account to be categorized in - or click on “Create a List” to make a new group

For example @PghTasteBuds is a local Pittsburgh food blogger, so I would click on the list I’ve created of “Pittsburgh Bloggers”

4. Once all accounts are organized, access your lists by going to your profile page and clicking on “Lists”

• Use HootSuite to further organize by setting lists as feeds next to scheduled updates and mentions

• Look for other users’ public lists, you can subscribe to them without having to take the time to organize your own
