Teaser Trailers
What is a teaser trailer?
A teaser trailer is a short montage of clips from a film, TV program or anything else similar to this. Teaser trailers are usually released well ahead of the product, in order to ignite audiences’ interest. In other words, to “tease” them.
What is the difference between a teaser and full
trailer?
The purpose of a teaser trailer is just to fuel the interest of the spectator, whereas the full trailer is there to give the audience a better sense of the plot. Teaser trailers are used to keep the interest and hype of a film fresh, between the post production and the release of the full trailer. A full trailer, therefore, is used to gain even bigger hype before the release of the film.

Comparing Teaser and Full trailers
As you can see, the main difference between a teaser and a full trailer is the amount of action shown. The teaser trailer focused more on introducing the characters and the plot. The teaser also shows iconic objects such as Thor’s hammer, Captain America’s shield and Iron Man’s suit, as well as showing a few key action scenes to entice the target audience.
The full trailer on the other hand, expands on the plot and shows more action scenes, it also shows conflict and tension which is a big part of the film. The purpose of the full trailer is to ignite enough interest from the target audience to make them watch it but without giving the full storyline away.
