TEASER TRAILER CONSTRUCTION

THIS IS THE FIRST IMAGE I CREATED ON FINAL CUT PRO. I GOT THIS IMAGE FROM GOOGLE AND ADDED IT IN BECAUSE IT IS A STRICT CODE AND CONVENTION OF A TEASER TRAILER THAT IS IN EVERY PROFESSIONAL ONE. THIS WAS VERY SIMPLE AND EASY TO DO AND GIVES SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE FILM BEFORE YOU CAN SEE THE TEASER TRAILER.

Page 3: Teaser Trailer Construction

Here is the opening clip. I filmed this by setting the camera at the front of my Cr windscreen and drove up. This clip was initially very long but I cut it down.

Page 4: Teaser Trailer Construction

I recorded my friend speaking on my Iphone and then added in some text. The text throughout is Garamound Rough and the font size is 164 for most of the clips. I turned the volume of the voice clips up full so you could fully hear the girl speaking.

Page 5: Teaser Trailer Construction

This clip is of the man walking down. It was filmed very easily using a tripod.

Page 6: Teaser Trailer Construction

I then cross cut this clip for the man to continue walking with the shadow. This was also filmed very easily.

Page 7: Teaser Trailer Construction

I added another voice note of a girl speaking and the same text.

Page 8: Teaser Trailer Construction

I then added this clip. It is of the girl sitting down on the floor. It cross cuts various times with various different types of transitions.

Page 9: Teaser Trailer Construction

This is the flash transition I added to make it look like there was a flash of light coming from the door.

Page 10: Teaser Trailer Construction

This is the clip where to door opens to add the light into the room. All the lighting throughout the trailer is natural lighting.

This clip is the same as the others that include text previous to it. Once I remembered all the sizes and font names it was so much easier to get things done and quicker because I knew how to do them

Page 13: Teaser Trailer Construction

This clip took more time. I reversed the clip so it made it look like her eyes were closing. It is quite a blurry clip so I may have to re film it to make sure it is high quality

Page 14: Teaser Trailer Construction

In this clip I added a non diegetic gunshot to create suspense.

The next few clips I added are quite fast pace but in the next draft I create I am going to shorten them so it makes it look more professional and creates suspense.

I researched some film critics names so it would make it quite professional looking when I added a quote from a critic. I added one because it is a common convention of all teaser trailers.

In these clips I added a voice note of one girl speaking a paragraph. I turned the volume of it up loud so she could be heard clearly. This sound clip is non diegetic because you cannot see her speaking.

I made this text 3D because I needed it to stand out from behind the white background of the sky. This was created very easily and I continued it for the next few clips where we can see the character names. I added some award names to make it seem realistic and that it had some very famous actresses in it.

The following panoramic panning shot as the most difficult to edit. I had to add a lot of text into it and make sure it didn't look to cramped. I faded out the music at the end and added in a sound note of the girls shouting Freedom. The clip then blacks out at the end.
