Wonde Proud Navigation Box with Toyota IE Bus  

Toyota  IE  Bbus  developed  by  Wonde  Proud  allows  you  to  use 

Wonde  Proud  navigation  box  with  Toyota  original  car  DVD/monitors. 

With  connection  of  IE  bus  and Wonde  Proud  navigation  box,  source 

menu, Media, Setup menu (including Bluetooth) on Toyota all work fine 

as  original  designed. With  a  small  external  button,  you  can  switch  to 

navigation and back easily and quickly. Furthermore, this document also 

teaches you how  to modify Toyota with  IE bus  in order  to use original 

“Navi” button to switch to navi mode.

correct selections for resolution and panel.

3. IE Bus Connection to Toyota and Wonde Proud car navigation box,

a. Install navi switch button, in order to use original Toyota’s “Navi” button to switch to navi mode. 

If you use external button, you can ignore the whole “a” step.

(1) Drive open the screws

(3) Depart the black cable from the small board

(4) Depart the tenons

(5) Lift the case

(6) Remove impedance “R36” and “R39” from the PCB

(7) Put this cable through Toyota 

(8) Solder the 3 bare wires onto PCB “R38,” “R36,” and “TP21”

(9) Fix the soldered wires

(10) Recover the case 

(11) Insert the small board back

(12) Leave the connector for step “c”

4. Mute signal input 

When you connect Navigation box and IE bus, you will find “PIN 1” on 

the cable with “8‐pin” which connects to “Data” port on navigation 

box. This “PIN 1” is mute output from navigation box, please connect 

it with Toyota’s mute input, then you can have mute function from 

Toyota when navigation sound talks. Please be noted that this only 

works when you use external mono speaker for navigation sound, 

not car internal speaker.
