TheTacomaAreaHomeschoolBandisanonprofitorganizationthatwascreatedbyEmilieGreenwell,musicteacherandhomeschoolmom,togivehomeschoolersaccesstocollaborativemusicallearningandthebandexperienceatapricefamiliesononeincomecouldafford.

theirinstruction.

Wealsobreakthebandintosectionalstoallowthegroupstogetmorefocusedinstruction,andpeermentoring.

Forperformancesweallowstudentstheopportunitytosharewhattheyaremostproudofwithsolos,ensembles,duets,trios,etc.Thisallowssections,siblings,andfriendsachancetoshowoffwhattheyhavelearnedandcreatedtogether.

Aboveall,bandisfirstandforemostFUN.Weprovideasocialoutletforteensandtweens,whileallowingtimefortheparentstosocializewiththeirpeersorjustrelax.

Ourgoalistobewelcomedbackyearafteryear,andwewillmakesureourstudentsareplayingattheappropriatevolumeforthevenuebothinsideandoutside.Wewillworkhardtoensurethatthevendorsenjoyus,andwedonotdistractorannoythevendorsorattendees.

Wewouldbehappytoworkwithyouandourbandwantstoassistyouinanywaythatyoudeemappropriate.
