Course Description:
The discipline of Mathematics III allow the students of 1º Semester in 2º year of
the Economy and Management courses, instruments of integration calculus as
well as concepts of differential equations and equations with differences. _____________________________________________________________________________ Course Content:
1. Integration.
2. Definite integrals and plane areas.
3. Indefinite integrals.
4. Double integrals. Polar coordinates and others change of coordinates.
5. Differential equations of first order.
6. Differential equations of n order. Linear equation.
7. Difference equations. Linear equation.
_____________________________________________________________________________ Course Objectives:
The discipline’s goal of Mathematics III allow the students of 1º Semester in 2º
year of the Economy and Management courses, instruments of integration
calculus as well as concepts of differential equations and equations with
differences, basic so they can follow disciplines of the Degree (Microeconomics
II and Finances I), the Masters (Globalization and Growth, Advanced
Macroeconomics, Financial Derivatives, Risk Management and Financial
Investments) and to do investigation in Company Administration Sciences that
involve more advanced mathematical requirements.

Two Tests – T1, T2
1. If T1 + T2 ≥ 19.00 with T1 ≥ 6.00 and T2 ≥ 6.00 → Approved
2. If 13.00 ≤ T1 + T2 < 19.00 or
T1 + T2 ≥ 19.00 with T1 < 6.00 or T2 < 6.00 → Exame
3. If T1 + T2 < 13.00 → Not Approved
4. If missed T1 and T2 ≥ 8.50 → Exame
If missed T1 and T2 < 8.50 → Not Approved
5. If missed T2 and T1 ≥ 9.00 → Exame
If missed T2 and T1 < 9.00 → Not Approved
