First Step: PIACENZA

F&W: After admiring the Abbey of Chiaravalle della Colomba, founded in 1135 and still inhabited by the monks, we will visit a producer of Pancetta and Coppa, two typical cured meats of the hills of Piacenza.

2nd Step PARMA F&W: The tour dedicated to the discovery of Italian fresh pasta can be customized according to the tastes, specific needs and time available. The experience of preparing fresh pasta is made in a farmhouse situated on the first hills of Parma. Starting early in the morning you can include a visit to the imposing Castle of Torrechiara, nestled in the center of a vast wine-growing area. Then you can continue with a visit to a winery to learn about local wines and finish with a pasta cooking class, preparing different types of traditional fresh pasta. The pasta cooking class is followed by lunch, during which the dishes prepared with the help of the chef can be tasted.

4th Step BOLOGNA F&W: It’s a multi-course Italian lunch with wine pairings in an authentic trattoria or organic winery. It’s a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the sights, smells and tastes of Emilia-Romagna!

TOURIST ATRACTION: Bologna walkways and the «Two towers»:

Bologna walkways are fantastic, you can taste some street food like the “crescentina” or you can listen to and see the beautiful street artists, painters or singers.

There are the “Asinelli tower” and the “Garisenda tower”, that were built for military functions in the XII century.

Last Step RAVENNA F&W: It features: expert-led walking tour of Ravenna center and monuments - a taste of chocolate (three samples) at a typical shop in the center - a small lunch at a local restaurant serving Romagnole specialties including a plate with home-made piadina, mortadella IGP, raw ham, salami and dried sausages of Mora Romagnola (local breed of pork), squacquerone cheese (creamy, typically local), water, a glass of local wine (red or white) and an espresso.

TOURIST ATTRACTION: Dante’s tomb:

Dante's tomb is the neoclassical sepulcher of the poet Dante Alighieri erected near the Basilica of San Francesco in the center of Ravenna. The High Poet lived the last years of his existence in the Romagnola city, dying there in 1321. The tomb is a national monument and around it a zone of respect and silence called "Dante area" was established.
