Materials needed (submitted in Schoology in PDF format):

● Application● Transcript (with 1st semester senior year grades included)● ACT scores● Personal Statement● Any additional requirements for individual scholarships ● 2 Letters of recommendation (submitted via e-mail to carra@stillwaterschools.org)

What scholarships are you eligible for?

Step 1. Preview the Application PDFViewing the PDF version will help you organize the information needed.

Step 2. Fill out the Application (google form)Information needed:

● Personal data● Post-secondary info● Community service● Work experience● Extracurricular activities● Honors/awards.

Once you have submitted this form you will receive a confirmation email including a pdf copy of your application. SAVE this PDF. **Please allow ample time to complete this application. You cannot save and go back. DO NOT Refresh the page as your information will be lost. Once you submit the application you will not be able to return to edit**

Financial Information

Financial Information is only required for scholarships that are based on financial need. These scholarships are marked with a

scholarship. Required materials need to be in *PDF format and will be submitted for each scholarship to which you apply.

● Personal Statement - Respond to this prompt in 300 words or less (prompt used in English 12):

Describe a problem you've solved or a problem you'd like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma - anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.❖ Save as PDF with title: “Last Name, First Name - Personal Statement”

● Transcript - Transcripts MUST include 1st semester senior grades. To ensure the inclusion of 1st semester grades, wait until after January 28 to request an updated FREE self view of your transcript from Parchment. For Parchment questions, contact: radecket@stillwaterschools.org❖ Save as PDF with title: “Last Name, First Name - Transcript”

● ACT score - go to ACTStudent.org , login, view scores, save as PDF.❖ Save as PDF with title: “Last Name, First Name - ACT score”

Step 4. Apply for Scholarships

● Each scholarship has its own folder with an assignment to complete.

● Each folder will include the scholarship description and criteria to be completed/submitted.

● Read requirements carefully & submit ALL items for the assignment.

*Partial submissions will not be accepted/reviewed.

● One from teacher● One from community member (ex: coach, youth group leader, boss)

Letters should be PDF format & titled: “Student Name - LOR”

Email letters of recommendation to Amy Carr: carra@stillwaterschools.org

Please allow at least two weeks for recommenders to write letters. Send a thank you note!

Completed application and all scholarship assignments must be submitted by:

3:00 p.m. Friday - February 10, 2020---NO exceptions!

***Be advised new scholarships may be added***

ALL communication in regards to the SAHS Community Scholarships will be through your school email!

Application Timeline:Items that can be completed right away:

● Application● Requesting Letters of recommendation● Reading through Scholarship descriptions and criteria● Saving a copy of your ACT score● Saving Personal statement as PDF

Items that need to be done closer to the deadline:

● Downloading & saving updated copy of self-view transcript (Sem 1 grades available in Parchment after Jan 28)

● Submitting assignments for scholarships
