It includes a wheelchair lift to get onto the train at the Civitavecchia train station (shown on the right). We will reserve assistance for you to get onto the train….you just need to give one of the train station staff members your name!



We will reserve handicapped accessible seats for you. They will be located on the train car that has an accessible toilet.


When you arrive at Rome Termini train station, a train station staff member will meet you with a special vehicle to transport you the 850 meters to the Sale Blu office. Your officially-licensed tour guide will meet you at the Sale Blu office.


Your tour guide will bring you to one of the wheelchair accessible buses that travel to the Rome city center. Your guide will have already purchased your bus tickets.


When visiting the Colosseum with a disability, your tour guide will escort you past the long line of visitors to the entrance. To visit the upper level of the Colosseum, your guide will use the wheelchair ramp (shown on the right) that leads to the elevator.


An accessible visit to the Roman Forum is possible using the wheelchair lift shown in the photo of the right. Your tour guide will bring you along a route that avoids the severely uneven ancient cobblestones (shown in the picture on the right).


After visiting the Roman Forum, you’ll enter the city center where the cobblestones may provide wheelchair users with a bumpy ride! The Rome Highlights Accessible Excursion by Train will utilize the wheelchair accessible ramp at the Pantheon (shown in the photo on the right).
