Introduction

Founded – By Mr. Otto Danielsen in 1944, and Rederiet Otto Danielsen was managed by the Danielsen family for more than 60 years.

During the years Rederiet Otto Danielsen have build/managed a large fleet starting with small single deckers and has moved to modern tween deckers equipped with derricks or cranes.

Sold to – Tschudi Shipping 1st April 2005



Present fleetRederiet Otto Danielsen today operates 3 multi purpose vessels of 4.200 tons.

Estonian Shipping Company (ESCO)

Together with Tschudi’s acquisition of Rederiet Otto Danielsen the commercial chartering of the ESCO fleet was taken over by OD.

We have a fruitful co-operation with our friends in Estonia!



Time charter

When the market is right, we time charter ships either for trips, short- or long term periods. At the moment we have two sisters at 8.200 tons for about 1 year:

Chartering

We are acting as brokers for several ship owners and charterers worldwide.

Project and heavy lift cargo

We are also involved in transports of heavy lifts and project cargos. Some of our esteemed clients are:

Contracts of affreightment

Rederiet Otto Danielsen owned ships and chartered tonnage carry a large variety of project cargoes on contract basis.

In 2007 we celebrate 25 years anniversary trading with 2 ships to the Bauxite mine in Kamsar, Guinea in West Africa.

During 2006 we moved about 50.000 cbm windmill equipment mainly from Spain to Italy but also from Germany to Canada and elsewhere.



Timber / Forrest products

Traditionally Rederiet Otto Danielsen has for many years been active trading with sawn timber, woodpulp, paper in reels and similar commodities from the Baltic to North Africa.

This is a trade which we wish to develop further.
