The Great Migrations

Europeans had become accustom to migrating through out their countries in search of work and many other odd jabs that would supply them with their basic needs to survive. The limitless opportunity that was lying in the the U.S. was a perfect opportunity to go and make a living because there was no competition for work and skills due to the fact that work was always be needed. This would be perfect to workers who were not willing to learn a new skill to make money. Now he could work in the area he was trained to do work in. the job market was not the only reason the U.S. was so popular, it was the climate. In fact some of the europeans that had gone up and migrated to South America quickly moved up the the North American region.

The City in the Land of a Dollar

• In the 19th century, the fastest growing city was in present day Chicago where, by use of steel framing, the first skyscrapers were born and built. When the Chicago fires blew through the city, it then rebuilt the cities with this same Skyscraper style, that of steel framing.
