3. Logging In
You will receive an email from Wordpress with log in
information
Please click on the link from the email and enter your Tracks user
name and password (ignoring the password Wordpress sent you)
4. Wordpress Dashboard
This is your home base when you log into Wordpress. The only place
you really need to hang out is under Posts
To log back into the blog go to
blogs.fit.edu/wp-admin
5. Posts
Posts is where you will create and manage your content
6. Posts
When you are ready to create a new blog post, click on Add
New
7. Add New Post
Before you start to input your content, please click on Screen
Options
Uncheck everything except Post Tags, this will allow you to get to
the heart of creating content and not have to worry about all the
extras. We can gradually ad more features as your blogging
progresses.
8. Add New Post
Your post editor should look like this now.For some, Publish might
say Submit for Review.
9. Writing a Post
Use this tab to switch between what the post will visually look
like and what the back end code looks like.
10. You will use HTML when you want to place an embed code into
your post. 11. If you want to embed a YouTube video, you merely
have to include the link inside your post and Wordpress will
automatically embed the video for you.
