HOW TO UNINSTALL APPLICATION SOFTWARE

You may get an updated version of software already installed on your computer. In this case, as long as it is the previous version of the software because older version may not do this, the software make the new versions backward compatible. This means it can recognize older versions and update them without you have to uninstall the program yourself.

When you want to uninstall a program on your computer you cannot simply just right click the icon or file and hit delete. An application contains many different files located on your computer so the correct way to delete a program from your computer completely is to uninstall it.

To uninstall a file on your computer click on the Start button located at the bottom left corner of your screen. Then click on Control Panel located on the right side of the window that will open up. Using the start menu will ensure the proper clean up of the files and also will restore any settings that have been changed due to the software you are uninstalling.

In the Control panel click on Programs and Features. A list will come up showing you the applications installed on your computer. Select the application from this list by clicking on it and then click the uninstall button. This may take a few minutes but after the computer is done uninstalling the program it is best to restart your computer.
