UUNARTOQ QEQERTOQ
Uunartoq Qeqertoq is the name of a island located in the Polar
Artic Circle, and its a good example of global warming in the
world. In english kowing with the name of Warming Island.
This island was found in 2005 for the explorer of the Berkely
University, Eric Schmitt of 60 years old. It was found 640
kilometres of the Polar Artic Circle, in Grenland.
The island always was located there but the glacial ice was kept
joined on the coast. This fact was kept unnoticed during centuries
and its discovery there is an obvious proof of the effects of
climate change in the world.
But all things have its advantages, and the history of this
place was converted in a symbol of the climate change and in an
important turistic island. Nowadays, the companie Betchart
Expeditions organised travels by boat to visit the Warming Island
for a high price.
COASTAL TOURISM IN SPAIN
The predictions about the coastal tourism in Spain, register
that the situation in the next years can be bad to the coast
regions. The Ministry of Enviroment talks about the increase of the
level of the sea will eat 15 metres of beach in Spain before the
year 2050 because of climate change.
This event will be bad for the coastal tourism of our country
