Project Highlights: -- On-site waste water treatment system based on
the Amphidrome process
produces Hydrogen Sulfide
(H2S) in quantities that cause
complaints by community residents – affecting rental
sales and retention.
-- Existing tray style carbon
system was substantially
undersized for the application and was not effective in
reducing odors
-- Odor reducing chemical
additives were also ineffective
– and produced unwanted precipitates
-- Designs focused on a
biologically based in-ground
system that would not be
dependent on any proprietary equipment or science – and
would be environmentally
friendly and sustainable
-- The system was installed
and put on line in March 2009 and all nuisance odors have
