Collaborating on proposal development

The Aggregate Spend initiative was a complete success, and positioned the client to respond to the compliance challenges of today and tomorrow. The client cited the depth of the business partnership as the main reason for the success of the Aggregate Spend Program.

The keys to a successful partnership

Challenge

A long-term partnership

Partnership begins ACA passes CDSC launches BeyondCollaborative began providing information management services for the client, over time becoming the client’s single data warehousing, business intelligence and data integration partner by consistently delivering high-quality, skilled consulting and service.

Passing of the ACA brought new compliance challenges, and the client sought Collaborative’s data aggregation and integration expertise to acquire the capabilities they needed to comply with the ACA’s new requirements for Aggregate Spend Reporting.

The client became the first user of the CDSC, relying on Collaborative’s onshore resources initially for a data integration project. And Collaborative delivered the Aggregate Spend initiative through its unique combination of consulting and IT services. Due to the success of these initiatives, today all of the client’s quality assurance services are executed through the CDSC.

Over this long partnership, the client has gotten to know Collaborative’s team members very well. Solutions are tailored to the client’s needs at the individual level because the client knows whom to call on to solve specific problems, which provides much greater value per hour.

A high level of trust makes the proposal process problem-centric, instead of sales-centric, allowing the two companies to jump straight into productive conversations on the best way to solve problems. Collaborative maintains transparency around how projects are estimated, while the client is clear and open about its budget position.

Handling challengesOne of the surest measures of the value of the partnership between these two companies is not how rarely issues arise, but how the issues that do arise are handled. Because Collaborative has worked hard to establish a culture of trust with the client, when an issue does arise, it is resolved easily.

The client has been one of Collaborative’s longest-running relationships, and has seen many benefits from the Collaborative’s expertise and leadership. That partnership, and the value created by the CDSC, continues to make Collaborative a trusted source of business advantage for the client.
