Activity:
Calculation tool to calculate the CO2-equivalents of
serverroom in use
Scope:
The Calculation of the "Server Carbon Footprint" bases on answering 12
questions, which contains the emission equivalents out of:
- the power of the server(s)
- the necessary air-condition resulted from local (climate) conditions
- the daily work with the server
- the external maintenance on the server
Potential PREPARE value:
- Quick programming of online tool (80 hours)
- e-marketing competences (especially banners, Adwords, Twitter)

Activity:
Sustainable Energy Action Plan for Bielsko-Biała
Scope:
- Compiled GHG inventory for 1990, 2008 and forecast for 2020 within the
sectors municipal, households, services, industry, lighting and transport
- Methodology used was based on final energy consumption: electricity, fossil
fuels (coal, oil, gas), central heating and transport fuels. Standard emission
factors were used.
- Guideline for 20% reduction

- topics were choosen by Research/Industry/Admininistration core group
