God leaves us here

so we can join in His mission

John 20:19-23

19 So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord. 21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you;

• Jesus’ last word in that room …

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. (John 14:27)

• Jesus’ first word in that room …

“Peace be with you”

This gift of peace is now a REALITY!

John 20:19-23

21b …as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:6

So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”

The answer is NO and YES:• NO one knows the time except God• NO it’s not about the kingdom of Israel• YES Jesus is restoring the Kingdom of God

by sending the HOLY SPIRIT

… and the CHURCH!

We get to join in with

the Holy Trinity in this mission!

WHAT MISSION?

“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” (John 3:17)

The mission of forgiving sins and loving the world.

“If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.” (John 19:23)

If we accept another person and forgive him (let go of his faults), he will begin to understand the love and forgiveness of God and experience His peace.

If we keep count of his faults, he will continue to live in guilt not be able to experience the love of God.

This requires us to walk the Way of the Cross!

“Peace be with you.”

“No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.” (1 John 4:12)

Why did God leave us here on earth?

“as the Father has sent Me, I also send you” (John 20:21)

“Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you” (John 15:9)

God leaves us here

so we can join in His mission

and know more about His love

I, the Lord of snow and rain,

Nhờ ơn Chúa đến với tâm hồn khát khao.
