Beemapalli(also known as Pink Mosque) is a famous mosque located in Beemapalli village in Trivandrum in Kerala.Beemapalli village lies between Valiyathura and Poonthura junction in Trivandrum .It was built to honour Beema Beevi, a pious Muslim lady who is from the family of Prophet Mohammed and is believed to possess spiritual powers. She and her son Syedushuhadamaheen Abubacker are buried here.

General Information• The main festivity of Beemapalli is Chandanakudam which is celebrated in
March or April for a duration of 10 days.The worshippers bring earthern pots(known as kudams) filled with coins as offerings.These pots are covered with sandalwood paste(also known as chandanam).Hence these pots are known as Chandanakudam.The festival also has the name Chanadanakudam.This festival starts on the first day of jama dul Akbar(March-April) and continues for up to ten days. Thousands of pilgrims visit the mosque during the festival.During the festival,daharamuttu(done with sword) is performed inside the mosque.Several religious discussions,dance and Islamic songs are performed outside the mosque.On the last day of the festival,a flag is taken from Beema Beevi’s grave and followed by a procession which is accompanied by panchavadyam and decorated elephants.The various other offerings made at Beemapalli are circulated among the visitors at the mosque.
