Did Jesus Die for ALL Sins? – 29 h January 2016 - “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people” (Titus 2:11). Did Jesus die for every sin that was ever committed? Did He die for everyone or only for those who will believe in Him? These theological questions have been debated for centuries. Those who believe in “Limited Atonement” teach that He only died for those who will be saved. Those who believe in “Unlimited Atonement” teach that He died for everyone. The answer becomes clear when we examine the Scriptures. As Christians we must know that Jesus died for all sins for all time. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son” (John 3:16). It says “Loved the world” which means everyone in the world and not just believers or a select few. Then again we can learn from Hebrews 10: “And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all!”…but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God” (Hebrews 10:10,12). It is clear that Jesus sacrifice was for all mankind… Therefore Jesus is potentially the Savior of everyone. “ As Christians we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe” We can read this in 1 Timothy 4:10, “That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe”. He is potentially the Savior of everyone because He died for all sins, which makes it possible for anyone to be saved. Therefore, those who have faith in Jesus Christ and bereave that he died and rose again can receive salvation from our sin and sinfulness. We must know that He is the Savior only of those who put their trust in Him and have received the free gift of salvation. For example if I bought you a gift and offer it to you, it’s for you but it doesn’t actually become yours until you receive the gift from me. Did Jesus Die for ALL Sins? – 29h January 2016 -

“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people” (Titus 2:11).

It is clear that Jesus sacrifice was for all mankind…

Therefore Jesus is potentially the Savior of everyone.

But as Christians we must know that God wants everyone to be saved. “God desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth” We can learn from 1 Timothy 2:4, “…who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth”. Therefore we can know that the Lord is “not willing that any should perish but for all to come to repentance” We can learn this through 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”. Although the Lord wants everyone to be saved, it is up to each person who must choose to receive the free gift of eternal life.

In addition we must also know that everyone who calls on Him through faith and repents for their sins will be saved. Jesus said, “I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”” (Luke 13:5). Again we can learn in Romans 10:13,“…for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”

Therefore anyone can receive salvation by meaningfully praying this with a sincere heart: “Heavenly Father, I realize I am a sinner and need to be saved. I am truly sorry for my sins.

Jesus, come into my heart and save me. I give my life to you. I ask the Holy Spirit to empower me to live a life that’s pleasing to you. Thank you for giving me eternal life. Amen.” Even if we can do this at the beginning of each day, whether one may accept or not, today the World is so full of sin it can rub-off on us. We need His presence to strengthen us as we step out each day. If you sincerely prayed that prayer, you have been born again and Jesus has come to live inside you. Welcome to the family of God!

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;

the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
