columns; 2 She has dressed her meat, mixed her wine, yes, she has
spread her table. 3 She has sent out her maidens; she calls from
the heights out over the city: 4 Let whoever is simple turn in
here; to him who lacks understanding, I say, 5 Come, eat of my
food, and drink of the wine I have mixed! 6 Forsake foolishness
that you may live; advance in the way of understanding.

perfection. she has mixed her wine, At this point in history
various spices were mixed with the wine to enhance its flavor. Meat
and wine are considered to be festive foods that would be served at
a banquet. Wisdoms invitation to feasting anticipates the spiritual
food of Christ (John 6:5258) and the future marriage supper of the
Lamb (Rev. 19:9). Wisdom invites the simple to her feast so that
they may become wise. The banquet is an anticipation of the
heavenly banquet.
4. Christ not only gives the wine of wisdom and the bread of
life but also wisdom which is beyond knowledge, a wisdom that gives
understanding.
