Does startups really worth?

All the below companies founded as startups in a garage and evolved as multi-billion dollar companies.

A common thing in all the previously mentioned companies is “Product”.

One successful Product changed their brand image and rest of products are following the legacy.

Ironically mortality rate of the Startups are very high, which is 90+ percentage.

As per Elon Musk(founder of Paypal, CEO of Tesla motors, SpaceX and SolarCity) reasons for startup failure is lack of Perseverance.

Most startups founded by individuals and many of them are depended on personal money, Angel investors and Venture capitalist which runs out at some point and hard to sustain hence they gives up. Startup will becomes stopdown.

Now a days new theories are evolving to break the jinx from the startup failures.

Lean startup is one of the methodology that has came up with concept called “Idea Validation” and “Business-hypothesis-driven experimentation”

I have attended a Startup Workshop called “Lean Startup” and had excellent learning.

During the workshop, I found people with lot of passion and zeal towards their products. As Steve jobs said A-players achieve things only with passion.

Typically the entire startup hierarchy is just 2 levels

SnapDeal started as Discount coupon redeeming site, once it acquired the customer base across in India then overnight it change business model to a E-commerce site. Now attracting billion dollar investments.

Ebay, Amazon and few International e-commerce site exists in Indian market for a long time but couldn’t get successes like startups Flipkart and Snapdeal, as they understood Indian consumer mindset innovated with COD option.

Thomas Edison is well known as scientist who invented Bulb, DC current, phonograph, motion camera but himself perceives as a shrewd business man and who started first Industrial research labs in the world.

Drawing inspiration from these renowned personalities, aspiring for the entrepreneurial thoughts hence done a course on Entrepreneurship from Massachusetts Institute of Technology thru EdX.
