public relations industry. Lover of fashion, literature and animal welfare. I actively seek out information on Australian media, public relations professionals and fashion PR in hope to further myself in this growing industry.

In my studies in Communications I have focused on the growing changes in the PR industry from traditional media to the online media revolution. Whilst new technology has made it easier for professionals to connect with their target public's through social media and online user targeting, it has also put strain on the traditional media industries as consumers have the ability to get personalised information online.

In my current public relations internship at a PR agency I am further learning the importance of engaging with audiences both in traditional and digital media forms. It has been an educational experience which I hope to utilise the knowledge I've learnt in my future PR career and communication studies.

What drives me each morning is the my burning desire to learn and if you ever see me I am constantly consuming media or have a book in hand.

1. Potential Employers- PR Professionals in Melbourne2. Fashion PR Professionals3. Australian Media

I am looking to start and be involved in conversations around public relations, fashion, and Australia media. I think it’s important to appeal to these groups when attempting to get into the PR industry because a lot of the time employment is gained through contacts and networking is very important for this industry.

I will appeal to this group by discussing topics around what is happening in the industry and general marketing communication information. I will try to position myself as an informed individual in the field by engaging with key players around the hot topics of the day.

My designated #hashtag name is:

I have chosen this name for two reasons. Firstly, @stephmedjeri is my Twitter name and it will be useful to increase my visibility online. Secondly its the short version of my name, not too long and your own name is the greatest signifier of your own identity. It is especially useful having an uncommon name to make you stand out and be remembered.

I am looking to appeal to individuals in the PR and media communications industry. I am looking to do professional networking and align myself with other professionals in this industry.

I will be Tweeting around major global PR events and weekly on PR topics. I will also discuss literature I have been reading and articles about the industry.
