• Likely to have all the necessary skills /knowledge “in-house”?
• Combining skills & efforts - 2+2=5 to achieve common goal(s)
• Sometimes it can be a more competitive /compelling proposition
• Good model for bridging different sectors / perspectives- ABC example

• Decision making process / scope (Roles, Skills)– need for clarity and transparency

• Note; some of the above vary in importance with different types of collaboration, i.e. B2B, big B2b, B2G, B2A, and even ABC!

Top Tip’s – Other Things to think about• Consider the use of external / third party skills
• Example tools: Using Myers Briggs and Belbin Team roles tools/approaches
• If it involves new ideas or IP – agree up front (and even simply document) what each starts with / brings to table. Be aware of what is created from that point and from collaboration work – discuss what expectations are re the output
• Friendships – potential impacts to consider
