Manufacture

Assembly

The X-TEND architects simply love animal enclosures and the animals that

inhabit them.

They open up a whole world of architectural specialities: enclosures have to

be attractive and safe, stable and trans parent. Large expanses of net can now

be calculated and imaginative shapes made of cables and steel supports can

be implemented.

Light airy shapes with formally minimized constructions have now come to be

a very special and unique area of zoo architecture.

Fence

Fence for paths and bridges are one of the most diverse areas of

implementation for X-TEND. The flexible steel cable net is striking thanks to

its top-quality, elegant transparency and floating lightness.

The constructions are used as fall protection and fulfill building requirements

of being able to follow the temperature-specific movements of bridges.

Fence infill consists of two strong parallel tensioning ropes, onto which the

steel cable net is installed on site. The ropes can either be fixed or loose in the

clamps. Alternatively, fence infill consists of covered frameworks which are

either custom-made or come in standard formats.
