MEETING PURPOSE

Thank you for joining us and participating in this community discussion.

The purpose of this meeting is to take public comments on proposed service changes that will be effective on Monday, May 2, 2016. No final decisions have been made.

MEETING POLICIES

Be considerate of meeting attendees and COTA staff – please silence cell phones and other technology

When it is your turn to make a comment or ask a question, please remain at your seat and we will call on you

Ask one question at a time so the appropriate COTA staff member may address your comment

Comments and questions are limited to two (2) minutes per person

Participants are encouraged to complete comment cards

TRAVEL TIME ADJUSTMENTS

Travel times are proposed to be adjusted to improve on-time service on the following lines: Local• 2 E Main/N High (Weekday)• 6 Mt Vernon/Sullivant (All Days)

• 7 Neil (Weekday)• 15 Grove City (All Days)• 19 Arlington/Grandview

(Weekday)

Crosstown• 2L Crosswoods/Polaris (All Days)• 81 Hudson St (All Days)• 83 Oakland/Weber (All Days)

All travel time adjustments are tentative

PROPOSED NEW SERVICE: DOWNTOWN-PORT COLUMBUS AIRPORT

Goal: Provide direct service between the Airport and Downtown hotels and convention center

30 minute service,7 days a week, approximately 6am-9pm

PROPOSED IMPROVED SERVICE: INCREASED FREQUENCY ON 2L

Goal: Increase frequency on 2L Crosswoods/Polaris

Frequency Improvement: Increase from 60 minutes to 30 minutes

SEASONAL SERVICE: 98 ZOO BUS

Goal: Provide direct service between the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium and Downtown, in order to ease access to this regional asset for families in our community

Seasonal Service: Saturday, May 7 – Monday, September 5• Weekend service proposed to begin on Saturday, May 7• Weekday Zoo service proposed to begin on Monday, May 30

(Memorial Day)• Service runs through Monday, September 5 (Labor Day)

TEMPORARY STOP CHANGE: 6 MT VERNON & 92 JAMES/STELZER

Goal: Maintain access to VA Ambulatory Care Center during facility construction at VA Ambulatory Care Center

Proposed Stop Change: Starting in April, Line 6 (Local) and Line 92 (Crosstown) will have a temporary stop location on the northeast side of the hospital for approximately 8 months

CMAX CLEVELAND AVENUE BRT / ENHANCED BUS SERVICE

Goal: Provide rapid transit service along Cleveland Avenue, the second busiest transit corridor in the system

Update: • Congress has approved 80% grant funding of capital cost (approximately

$38 million in funding)• Negotiating grant agreement with Federal Transit Administration• Conducting real estate acquisitions• Pre-construction outreach begins in March• Implement service in September 2017
