How does your film represent particular social groups?

• Our title sequence represents middle class males aged 20-30. This is shown because the main character is wearing smart formal clothing: a wool coat and a button up shirt. The setting is a school so we assume the character is a teacher and is in the B demographic so is middle classed.

• We don’t get to know much at all about the main character in the title sequence like most horror films but we see him react to certain scenes with a look of shock. This could represent how middle class people are seen as sheltered and not used to scary or violent things. The footage he reacts to is footage of paranormal behavior: chairs moving on their own, doors opening etc. People from working class or lower class groups are seen as tougher than middle or upper class so may not be fazed by the footage or at least try not to be to keep up appearances.
