In this question I asked whether my music magazine double page spread had any similarities or differences with the Smash Hits article page. My responses picked up that Smash Hits have used a drop cap to start their articles. They also mentioned that Smash Hits have used a whole text format whereas I have used a question and answer format to make it easier and more interesting for my readers. They realised that both magazines have used captions to describe what’s happening in the pictures.

4. Do you think my music magazine represents male and female teenagers in a positive way?

In this question I asked my respondents thought that both genders were being presented in a positive way so that I could make sure that my music magazine did not seem sexist towards one gender.

All of my responses said that both genders are presented positively. Nearly all of my responses picked up on the range of colours used in my music magazine. I deliberately used unisex colours which are suitable for both males and females.

They also pointed out that I have used images that contain both genders and the images all show the artists happy. Therefore, I know that my target audience are happy with the way

they are being presented.

Also when asked whether they would buy the magazine many replied that that would buy it.
