CASE STUDY TRAVEL & TOURISM CHEAPCARIBBEAN.COM: CheapCaribbean.com provides its customers with insider information, reviews, photography and tips to help them find the best hotels and destinations on the shore. The company prides itself on providing the best customer service and travel advice to its customers. CHALLENGES: The company was re-designing their website, but did not have the resources or expertise in-house to create optimized content for the site’s visitors. Before the process could begin, a thorough audit needed to be conducted and a process needed to be in place for writing and editing large volumes of content. The CheapCaribbean.com team needed to bring in outside help to find solutions to these issues. THE SOLUTION: The EnVeritas Group team began by developing a custom content management system (CMS), as well as proprietary processes that allowed the content team to mirror the active CheapCaribbean.com database. EVG then created a style guide to instruct writers how to write in CheapCaribbean.com’s unique style and tone. A rubric was developed to enable the EVG team to fact check over 500 hotels, while ensuring that proper tagging and sorting was being done to aid hotels in appearing in search. Finally, fresh content was created and distributed.

 

RESULTS

• Conversion rates are up 50% • Bookings are up 40% since launch • Unique visits are up 9% despite the overall

category being down 10% • Visits up 22% over previous year • Page views up 47% since launch • Time on the site up 25% since launch • Bounce rates down from 46% to 37%

CASE STUDY HOTELS CARLSON REZIDOR HOTEL GROUP: Carlson Hotels, a division of Carlson Rezidor – a vibrant, family-owned, U.S.-based global hospitality and travel company with a strong portfolio of ambitious brands and ambitious goals – one of the world's most dynamic, innovative and fastest growing hotel companies; operating and developing the Carlson brands Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. CHALLENGES: At the time, Carlson and Rezidor were separate entities. The Carlson team approached EVG about providing a solution to the sheer volume of content that needed to be created. Carlson needed content for 750 properties. The content needed to be optimized for search engines (SEO), as well as follow corporate brand standards. THE SOLUTION: EVG created a dedicated team for the project that offered expertise in copywriting, editing, SEO, project management and technical skills. This allowed Carlson and EVG to collaborate smoothly and for the EVG team to execute all aspects of the project efficiently. After the initial phase was complete, the EVG team was contracted to handle over 15,000 updates per year that include daily offers and special deals. The team also works with the Rezidor hotels that were a part of the merger.

CASE STUDY MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY WIKA INSTRUMENTS, LP: WIKA Instrument, LP, with U.S. headquarters in Lawrenceville, Georgia, is the worldwide leader in global pressure and temperature instrumentation. Founded in Frankfurt-Griesheim in 1946, today the company comprises 40 offices and more than 7,000 employees worldwide. CHALLENGES: Focus was on producing spec sheets and product brochures. As a result, quality content was unavailable to site visitors. The company’s content was lacking the narrative that is necessary to explain the unique value of its services. THE SOLUTION: WIKA partnered with EVG to develop a strong content strategy aimed at correcting the issues the company was experiencing. A content strategy was developed around discussing insights about trends and resulting industry needs. This strategy coincided with WIKA’s launch of a professional services group that provides instrument audits and safety training, both of which are growing in demand from industries with large numbers of retiring baby-boomers. It was also designed to ensure page-one positions in search engine results for valuable keywords to help put WIKA in front of more decision makers.
