Music & Dance • The folk and tribal music and dance forms of
Bangladesh are of indigenous origin and rooted to the soil of Bangladesh.
• Has a rich tradition of folk songs, with lyrics rooted into vibrant tradition and spirituality, mysticism and devotion.
• Switching to western & Indian pop,rock songs
Music & Dance • FM radio, CD, iPod, Music player made it possible
to listen to a variety of music when required.
• TV made it possible to explore new types of dance by watching Satellite channel.
• Our greater love for music & dance provoking TV channels to telecast/organize talent hunt show.
Film & Dramas • strictly commercial in nature, a handful of
directors from Bangladesh have attained critical acclamation for their work.
• New movies have more Hollywood/ Bollywood touch
• Not only making money but also attracting foreign countries.
Festivals • An integral part of the culture of Bangladesh.
• Prominent and widely celebrated festivals are Pohela Boishakh, Independence day, National Mourning Day,Ghuri Utshob, Nauka Baich,and Language Movement Day etc.
Wedding • Includes many rituals and ceremonies that can
span several days.
• A traditional wedding is arranged by Ghotoks (matchmakers)
• Traditional ceremonies are - Dodhi Mongol,Gaye Holud, Bou Bhaat etc.
Wedding • Exchanging rings by both the groom and bride
• Newer trends like mehendi, sangeet, sagaai, bachelor parties have also been introduced

Attire • men wear lungi as casual wear and shirt-pant or
suits on formal occasions.
• Shalwar Kameez and Sharee are the main dresses of women.
• Sharee weaving is a traditional art in Bangladesh.

Sports Kabbadi is the national sports of Bangladesh, Kabadi,
Lathi khela, Golla Chut, Danguli,, Mangsho-Chor, Daria-Bandha, Bouchi etc.
More interested on Cricket,Football, Badminton , cycling, Fencing , basketball, volleyball , Shooting etc.
Newly Golf, Internet Games competition .
Occupation
Majority involves in agriculture on rural area.

Now peoples are more focusing on business.
Women’s involvement is increasing.
