The Boat
Sit on your floor with your legs spread straight ahead andyour hands behind your hips
Hold position for 20 -30 seconds.
Lean back while lifting your legs and extending your armsstraight ahead so only your hips are to the floor and yourback and legs are angled away from each other with yourarms spread straight ahead (kind of like an inverted ‘A
This pose adds to your core strength, stimulates vital organsand relieves stress. It helps weight loss by improvingdigestion.
The Half Spinal
Hold Position for 10 – 20 then reverse position and holdagain
Sit with your legs crossed, turn your lower body towardsthe right, extend your right leg while holding the left oneto the floor with your left hand
This pose tones your midsection and strengthens the spine
Place your right hand on the floor, toward the right andback of your hips and twist
Cobra
Lie flat on the ground and lift your upper body with yourarms, with your fingers pointing ahead and feet still touchingthe ground.
Hold position for as long as you can.
This pose strengthens the abs, releases tension from the chestand abdomen, and boosts immunity.
Raise the upper body from the hips with the lower body isstill lying flat on the floor.
The Lotus Pose
Hold your raised arms, behind your back and join your feet. Hold Position for 20 -30 seconds
Lie on the floor on your belly, arms beside you, palmsfacing up
This pose strengthens your shoulders, chest, and abdomen andstimulates the abdominal organs. It also improves posture.However, if you have severe back pain issues, don’t perform thispose without the supervision of a trained yoga instructor.
