Registered Counselor

“My Play Attention student, Joel, is motivated to work harder. Concentration is no longer a difficult task for him. This means getting Joel to go to school is no longer a struggle; in fact he looks forward to class! His self-confi-dence has improved and he believes that he can achieve his goals and do well if he puts his mind to it.

To witness the big difference Play Attention has made in this young boy’s life makes me proud to practice what I do, and help children realize their potential!” - Sandra Roberts, Registered Counselor

Psychologist

“Upon completing an assessment, we realized Jasmine did not have a motivational or a study problem. Jasmine had ADHD, attention deficit hyperactive disorder. Following her diagnosis, we put together a treatment plan that addressed both her short-term and long-term needs. To meet her short-term attention needs, a physician pre-scribed medications to help her focus. To meet her long-term attention needs, we placed her on “Play Attention,” a computer-based attention training system that has been educationally proven to help individuals with ADHD develop their ability to focus and reduce impulsivity. We also included an agreement that she could try out for the swimming team, as long as she met agreed upon Play Attention behavioral and academic milestones.

Twelve months later, Jasmine had achieved all of her milestones, was elected to the Dean’s List (which she re-mained on through graduation) and was taken off medications. She also did so well in the pool that she qualified for a highly selective swimming team.Watching her success, I recalled how empowering it was to be able to offer Play Attention as a tangible solution.

As I spoke with her parents during her graduation, they were exceedingly appreciative of our work together, espe-cially as it relates to Play Attention.” - Shane Perrault, Ph.D.

Counselor specializing in the aging

“When I first met George two years ago, he was unable to find his way out of his living room in his house. He had been diagnosed six years earlier with Parkinson’s disease and early dementia caused by exposure to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War. Play Attention gives him back a sense of control over his mind, and by exten-sion, over his life. Even while Parkinson’s disease slowly robs him of body control, Play Attention allows him to retain his mind and memory control. This is crucial for his psychological and

emotional well being.” – Nancy, counselor of 81 year old Play Attention student, George

There are many “cognitive games” that say they will make your brain better because of “neuroplasticitThere are many “cognitive games” that say they will make your brain better because of “neuroplasticity.” It seems like they’re all over TV nowadays. That’s called cognitive training. While some improvement may be made by the average person, here’s what independent research from Tufts University School of Medicine determined about cognitive games and ADHD students:

• Cognitive training did not produce any significant changes in ADHD students while Play Attention made significant changes in that same study. • Students who underwent brain training games (cognitive training) required increases in medication. Play Attention students did not. • Play Attention students maintained their significant gains even after the researchers came back 6 months later to test them once again.

Play Attention performed far better than cognitive games alone in independent randomized, controlled studies. It increased student attention. Greater attention = greater learning.

PlayPlay Attention includes our exclusive BodyWave armband that measures brain activity indicative of attention. You will activate our great cognitive games by applying full attention to get started. When you are actively engaged or paying attention, the brain emits a signal – an attention signature. The BodyWave armband used in Play Attention (see TIME magazine and Popular Science) monitors this signal through the body and transmits it wirelessly to the computer. This allows you to control our computer exercises by mind alone! Attention is now concrete and con-trollable.
