Introduction David Frasher, the City Manager of Hot Springs,

Arkansas, enjoys cooking when he’s not working. David Frasher also likes to watch cooking shows on TV, where one of his favorite chefs is Anthony Bourdain.

Bourdain hosts CNN’s Parts Unknown, a travel and culinary show similar to his previous program, No Reservations. Aside from hosting multiple TV shows, Anthony Bourdain is the author of 1999’s Kitchen Confidential, in which he gave his now-famous advice, “Don’t order fish on Mondays.” Today, however, the world-class chef is taking it back.

“Eat Fish on Monday,” The famous morsel of culinary advice came

about when Bourdain noted how restaurants that did not specialize in seafood often used last week’s supply on Monday. However, when interviewed at the Cannes Lions advertising festival by Anderson Cooper, the chef conceded, “That was 1999. The world has changed.” While he may no longer agree with the quote, Anthony Bourdain is convinced that “‘Don’t eat fish on Monday’ will, unfortunately, be on my headstone.”
