Rhythm
l Length of notes l Number of notes l Speed of notes l Space between notes
Melody
l Main focus of a piece l Played by a lead instrument (e.g vocals) l Melody often includes Lyrics l Clearer in a mix/recording l Often the first part of a piece to be composed.

Harmony
l Two or more notes played together (e.g A Chord)
l Another performer playing the melody at a different pitch.
l Any line of music that is being played at a different pitch to the Melody
Dynamics
How loud or quiet a part of the music is.
Time Signatures
How many beats are being played per bar.
Task
Create a Listening Logbook. This can be a: a Blog, a Powerpoint presentation, a Word document, a Website,
an Excel spreadsheet.
It must include:
l The date/time you listened to the music
l How the music was discovered/where you accessed it
l The Genre of Music
l 3 Musical Components featured in the piece
