‘’The Conjuring’’ is aimed at a target audience of teenagers and young adults, the certificate rating for the film is 15. This suggests that anybody under the age of 15 should not watch the movie, and they are not allowed too in the cinema. They may watch it at home on the internet, which is illegal. Even though the film has an age certificate of 15, there will probably be a lot of older people in the audience as well. But the main target audience is teenagers and young adults.

It makes the trailer seem modern because the producer has used something that you see in everyday life.The producer also uses a close family to act in the film which older audience members can relate too, the mother in the film is doing every she can too look after her children and a lot of mothers can relate too that as it is something that they do everyday.

Children find the whole ‘alien’ belief interesting because it is an unknown factor, it is something that they take their time to look in to and for some children it is an obsession.
