Mise-en-scene

The arrangement of everything that appears in the framing – actors, lighting, décor, props, costume – is called mise-en-scène, a French term that means “placing on stage.” The frame and camerawork are also considered part of the mise-en-scène of a movie. In cinema, placing on the stage really means placing on the screen, and the director is in charge of deciding what goes where, when, and how.

This movie is based in the USA, as all the heroes movie. In this movie there is no main building, to give as a reference, but there are lot of deferent buildings and places. This movie is about Bruce Banner, who after a lab accident involving gamma radiation finds himself able to turn into a green-skinned monster. From that begging you can straight away understand that it’s a Super hero movie.

PropsIn this movie the Props are not that much, but we have some part of the movie that talk about what happen before to give the audience an idea of what is going on, other props as we know the hero Hulk, he just smash everything around him.

Other props are the enemies that trying to stop Hulk by using Guns, Bombs and Helicopter. This gives the audience better view of how strong is their opponent, even use machines and all sophisticated technology to stop him.


As we can see, the actor calm and carefree and to make the audience feel it they blur the background and the location as well, as he is in his room.

In this shot the actor his in a different location and from the background this time u can see that something is happening also the face expression, on this he look very scared.


On the third shot as we can see the actor look different from how he was before and he look angry.

Lighting & Colour

In this movie there are different kind of colour, but the colour most used is green, from the main character and from the way the story is composed. The lighting sometimes in the movie goes dark to give the tell the audience that something is happening most of the time as well the dark light it’s been used a lot in this movie. As we can see from the picture at the top the also use light lighting, to give the audience some calm and carefree moment in the movie as we know Hulk is always angry.


Costume hair & Make-up

In this movie the character from normal he turns in to a green-skinned monster, on the picture below we can also see the steps from the first step to when he turn to Hulk and you can see also the face expression between the normal and Hulk. That’s a very clever idea in terms of effects.

Facial expression and body language

As we can see, the actor is calm and carefree also from his eyelashes and to make the audience feel it they blur the background and the location as well, as he is in his room.

In this shot it’s hard to find a space and even main character look blocked

In this shot the character look more free is like his screaming freedom, and getting ready to escape with the space left in front of him.
