From the Hart: An OWBC

Part 1.4:

Mum! You Ruined My Life!

Welcome back to From the Hart! It’s been a little while since I updated, but basically, in the last chapter, the Harts – minus their vampire mother – went on a holiday to Three Lakes, found a bigfoot, did some fishing, annoyed the locals and returned home. Also, all three kids got into the private school, Blossom got chased by bees, a servo joined the family, and Randy opened a business. If you need to catch up, go ahead!

“Colourful human, your glasses are all wrong!” “Don’t like, judge me, dude. Flashing blue is totally my thing now.” Whenever Randy changes lot we have this problem, and he just came back from the business. I think I might have to take his heart shaped glasses away! Also, he brought Pony back with him for some reason, and all three of them stood around like some sort of drive-by freak show for Orchid’s school friends. ----------------------------- Pony writes the New Pokemon Legacy, among other things!

Inside the house, the robot that’s supposed to be making life easier for the Harts is messing about with the helicopter. I swear, all sims love that helicopter. They’re like moths to a flame.

Night falls, and Kana comes out to play. Or immediately start dancing. This family is probably one of the crazier ones I’ve played lately. I just spotted the potty in the picture, too. I bet you no one has emptied it.

“Wow, Pony is smoking hot!” “Sorry, what did you say, Binaree?” “Nothing!”

“I’M ATTRACTED TO A HUMAN, I CAN’T COPE!” “For goodness sake! Randall insisted this thing would do only good for this family!”

Binaree then robo-passed out in the back garden, without electrocuting anyone. We got off lightly, I think.

Nobody even noticed Binaree had disappeared, really, they were busy with other things. Like hugs. “Mum, why are you SO close to me?!” “Can I not embrace my little girl tightly? With my teeth?”

Blossom stayed a vampire for a bit to save on cure potion – I’m sure Kana would only bite her again if I cured her. So Blossom’s out hunting for bugs and enjoying the night. Oh, and I remembered I needed to have someone repair Binaree. Thanks Brian!

Elsewhere, Orchid was getting out of bed and growing up, which is pretty exciting. Also, judging from the purple and the stars, you’d think that was a kid’s room, wouldn’t you? Nope, it’s Randy’s.

She’s pretty! And different to Blossom, which I’m more pleased about, really. Best of luck with your teen years, bad apple. Orchid Hart Family Brown Hair/Hard Worker - Stink

“What’s that over there, captain? The noble and mighty Heirship?” Turns out, Orchid is playful, which I was unaware of until now! Hooray!

“FRICKIN’ BEES! AGAIN!” Come on, Blossom, you only need two more bugs and you’ll never have to see a bee ever again. I’m starting to think I’m going to lose this mini-challenge.

Well, that’s creepy. Jeez, find a hobby, Orchid. “I have. People watching.”

“Hey Binaree, thanks for hanging out with me . It really beats hanging around the townie pool all day.” “No problem, Pony. I enjoy your company.” I bet if robots could sweat, Binaree would be sweating nervously right about now.

“By the way, Pony, can I add that you look lovely today?” “Aw, really? Thank you!” I like the fact Brian is just chilling in the background.

And because romance was apparently in the air on this fine summer’s day, one of the girls brought home this teenager, Lydia Chalmers. Who clearly goes to a real academy, unlike the Hart kids. Anyway, Blossom immediately threw two bolts for her, and I can work with that.

“Really, Blossom? You’re busting a move to impress her? Show some class, honestly!” “DUDE, our family like, hasn’t got ANY class!”

“Well, busting a move is quite impressive, in my opinion.” “Really? AWESOME.” “I immediately dislike you.”

“Now my sister has TOTALLY gone, let me talk about how AWESOME you are!” “Oh Blossom! How extraordinary you are!”

I can tell you now that Lydia is not going to fit in with this family – look, she can’t even smustle! Pony, meanwhile, can come back and party with the Harts anytime she likes.

“Hello everyone! It’s me, the cute and loveable Onyx! Did you all have great afternoons? I totally did-” “Who’s the chatterbox, Binaree?” “I have no idea. I think he lives here.”

Anyway, Blossom scored her first kiss, which was my main reason for having her pursue Lydia in the first place – the want has been in her panel for ages! Chances of seeing Lydia again? Probably not likely. But who knows.

Outside, and there’s a couple of girls hanging around for no reason. “Onyx is cute, so if we become best friends, we’ll grow up along side him and fall in love!” “He won’t be able to resist my FURIOUS SMUSTLE FACE!” Nobody tell these girls, but Onyx has no idea they’re out here. I don’t think he even spoke to them.

“I am so super relaxed right now. Nothing can ruin this moment.”

“Why hello there, I am Lydia Chalmers, Blossom Hart’s official first kiss. What a relaxing way to spend an afternoon, correct?” “Um. How about we play the quiet game?” “Oh yes! I am so good at that game. You see, we get much practise of it at home, in the parlour-” “Oh jeez.”

“Hmm. The Countess is quite attractive.” NO. No. No family-destroying drama. Stop it. “Although, not as attractive as Pony.” Better. Continue.

“Do you mind, master Onyx? You’re making the puddle bigger.” “But it’s FUN! When was the last time you had fun, Binaree?”

“BEES. ALWAYS WITH THE BEES.” That’s it, I’m calling it. I’ve failed the Bug Nut mini-challenge, I’m just so done with bees and bug hunting. My hat goes off to anyone who has managed to complete that one.

Elsewhere in the house, Orchid has discovered the family’s hot tub. “I am never leaving this tub ever.” And for the next five hours or so, she was true to her word.

“I ACCIDENTALLY GOT WET WHEN I CLEANED THE SHOWER AND I LIKE HUMANS! PANIC!” You know, before Binaree, I couldn’t remember the last time I’d had a servo run amok. Now it’s practically routine.

“Oh no!” Dammit Orchid, the toilet is RIGHT THERE!

“Little green human? No helicopter while I fix Binaree? It’s very difficult.” “But I love the helicopter! And I love fun! And you Brian!” “Well, that is great, but I can’t concentrate.” It’s a wonder anyone in this house can concentrate, ever.

“I peed myself and also my pancakes taste funny. Everything is terrible.” It’s not a good day to be a bad apple.

“Right, stop everything and look at me! It’s my birthday! Aren’t you excited? I’m pretty excited, everyone else is a teen and finally I get to be a teen and-”

“Onyx, dude, what are we waiting for?” “Orchid. She needs to pay attention to me.”

“What a mesmerizing purple light…” “Hey, er, Mum, why don’t you TOTALLY bite me instead? Cool, right?” Well, crap. The thing I feared happening happened, all because my attention was elsewhere. Ugh.

“Isn’t being a creature of the night wonderful, Orchid?” “I’m in hell.” UGH.

“Cake or death! Bleh!” Well, things are a teeny bit screwed up here. See, I can’t control Orchid to cure her or put her in a coffin, so she’ll die if I leave her alone. I can’t move her to college because the bad apple has to stay home until two days until growing up, only she’s not aging at all now. So which rule do I break? The Hart kids are going to college! Early!

Well, I decided the kids could go out for Onyx’s birthday first, and then go to uni. But you get the idea. So we’re off to the Tacky Flamingo, which I suppose would technically count as a business rival to Randy and his club.

“KACHOW!” “DOUBLE KACHOW!” So much finger-gunning! That said, I haven’t ever seen Orchid finger-gun, so she must be a little bit shyer than her siblings. It’s not hard to be shyer than Blossom and Onyx, both have 10 outgoing points.

“DOUBLE KACHOW AGAIN!” “Uh, sis, you’re in my gunning space.” “Yeah, well you’re in MINE!”

“I’m in hell! Why won’t anyone help me?!” Shh Orchid, you’re scaring the locals. “What’s her problem?”

Orchid’s siblings had gone inside the club and were having a blast. “I’m gonna sing and it’s gonna be AWESOME!” Debatable, but go on.

Onyx, meanwhile, had found the bar. “One juice please!” “Er, kid, how old are you?” “OLD ENOUGH, LADY.”

“I’m so smooth.”

“These vending machines don’t stock plasma juice! What am I supposed to eat?! This is DISCRIMINATION!”

“I am having the worst day ever!” After peeing yourself, eating icky pancakes and becoming a starving teenage vampire in a club, I’d agree. She’s cute, though, right?

Blossom! I turn my back for two minutes! What would your father say? Who am I kidding, he would almost definitely join in.

“Kid, you’re juggling tumblers. You’re definitely underage.” “I’ll have you know all the coolest adults juggle, lady. But just in case, I’m going to go elsewhere now. Nice talking to you!” “I don’t get paid enough for this.”

After harassing the bartender, Onyx decided to try out the bubble blower. They’ve got one at home, so using one in a club is no different, right? Right?

Blossom, meanwhile, had stopped singing and slapping her own butt, much to everyone’s relief, and had found the pinball machine. Far more age-appropriate, if you ask me.

There was only one Hart kid not having a good time. “Cheer up, Orchid, we’re best friends!”

“And we’re all off to uni in an hour or so, and we’ll get you fixed right up! You won’t be a vampire anymore, even though I think it’s kinda cool. Well, really cool, actually. I wonder if Mum would bite me…”

Orchid then gave her siblings a super nice smile. So she must be super-stocked up in nice points, right? Hooray for slowly deciphering her personality!

After that, the kids went back home and started to prepare for uni. “What’s this Dad? A going away present?” “Nah, it’s some anti-vamp junk for your sister, dude.”

“I randomly made some lobster thermidor, as a going away meal!” No one is hungry right now, even Orchid ate cake! “PONY WOULD APPRECIATE IT.”

Blossom Hart Romance Rock God 0/10/2/10/8 (Libra) Brown Hair/Cooking – Grey Hair Blossom’s the enthusiastic eldest daughter, who wasted a majority of her childhood and teen years catching bugs and being tormented by bees. Despite this, she managed to score her first kiss, do well in school and get a scholarship for dancing.

Orchid Hart Family Brown Hair/Hard-workers – Stink Bad Apple Orchid’s the uncontrollable middle child, who pretty much does what she wants. Which usually involves sleeping in other people’s beds, staring at people, and sitting in the hot tub. She didn’t take accidentally becoming a vampire well, and can’t wait to be cured.

Onyx Hart Knowledge LTW? 1/10/4/10/10 (Libra) Custom Hair/Athletic – Formalwear Onyx is a happy little chatterbox, who barely lets anyone get a word in edgeways. He only got to enjoy six hours of being a teenager, and will probably have to make up for this at university.
